What Books About Ritual Magic Should You Read?

In order to interact with spirits and deities, magicians need knowledge in a special direction - ritual magic. It can be considered the basis of any magical art, since it is it that reveals the most basic concepts that are the essence of any magical actions.

What is ritual magic

Each of the magical sciences has its own rituals. The magician may be an adherent of various magical schools. Regardless of what he does: séances (summoning and communicating with spirits) or runic magic, his activities are associated with rituals. However, high-quality and effective work is impossible without learning ritual magic and, in fact, the rites themselves.

The basic knowledge that ritual magic gives relates to the conduct of rituals and their structure. Only by understanding the mechanism of the actions performed, as well as the principles of the interaction of elements, the magician can adapt the rite to a specific situation, depending on the conditions for its implementation and the desired goals. If he is not at all familiar with the principles of ritual magic, then he becomes a "monkey", repeating memorized actions without understanding their essence. In this case, the effectiveness of magical actions is significantly reduced.

During the ritual, magicians perform certain actions, but in general, the ritual structure cannot be called unchanged and rigid. In any rite there are elements, the order of which remains unchanged, as well as those that can be changed. However, from this the quality, character and even the end result of ritual actions will acquire a different meaning.

Ritual magic consists of certain parts.

Basic elements of ritual magic

Ritual magic consists of the following parts:

  • Intention and desire to carry it out.

The first component of performing the ritual is a sincere desire to fulfill your intention. Without this, it makes no sense to even begin to perform the ceremony. In magic, it is impossible to do something habitually or according to a pattern, because in order to get the expected result, a strong emotional need for certain actions is necessary.

Magic rituals are performed to ensure the fulfillment of desires, no matter whether it is ritual magic of destruction or, conversely, removing damage or healing from an illness, otherwise it will be a waste of time that does not bring any practical result.

  • Determining (choosing) the right time.

To achieve success in any business, one should not neglect such an important element as choosing the right time. If we are talking about ritual, (especially black) magic, then the right period will be most conducive to success or failure. Casting love spells, spells, spells and curses is best when the state of the ritual object is most receptive.

The passivity of the object allows the magician to bend its consciousness to his will. Absolutely any person becomes inactive during sleep. So, it is best to perform magical rites during the period when your object is in the arms of Morpheus.

The sleep cycle consists of certain phases, some of which the best way suitable for external influences. A person who falls asleep after a hard day's work will at first be in a phase of deep sleep, which is necessary for the body and mind to rest. The duration of this period is approximately four hours. Then deep sleep is replaced by the next, lasting from two to three hours. It is now that a person dreams, and it is at this time that the brain is most susceptible to both conscious and unconscious influences.

For example, the task of the magician is to enchant a person whose sleep lasts from about eleven in the evening to seven in the morning. In this case, ritual magic performed around five o'clock in the morning, that is, a couple of hours before the moment the person wakes up, will have the greatest effect.

It is important for the magician to be in good physical and emotional shape during this period. After all, in the process of carrying out the ritual, he is the personification of the "sending" factor.

If we turn to history, it becomes clear why sorcerers and witches were considered people of the night. After all, this mode of sleep and wakefulness is ideal for influencing the thoughts of unsuspecting sleeping people. People do not even realize what kind of thoughts can be introduced into their brain from the outside while they are sleeping peacefully.

The dreaming phase can be called the state that actually affects the creation of the future. The great thoughts that arise during this period (if you keep them upon awakening and do not forget later during wakefulness) allow a person to make greatest discoveries and deeds. People who are guided solely by not fully conscious thoughts will find themselves in situations that will later be interpreted as vicissitudes of fate or submission to God's will.

  • Creating an image.

But what is ritual magic? Who are the great magicians and sorceresses? They can be found in ordinary life, among ordinary people. Take a closer look at a teenager enthusiastically carving a heart on a tree bark with a knife and placing his initials and his beloved in it. Or to a kid who is able to draw cars or planes for a long time in the form in which he imagines them. Look at the girl rocking the old teddy bear she thinks is her baby...

All these examples are about them, about gifted people who are able to use a magical element called “image” in everyday life, and it is he who influences the success of actions and rites of ritual magic.

Having no idea about their giftedness, creative talents, artistic abilities, children, without getting hung up on this, want to achieve their goals and use images invented by them for this. The attitude of adults to their creative "attempts" is more critical. Therefore, it is quite enough for magicians and sorcerers to use only a clay doll or a primitive drawing during ritual magic. Such images are for them sufficiently accurate and reflect the very essence.

Everything that allows you to enhance emotions in the process of conducting a ritual contributes to its successful completion. Any drawings, paintings, sculptures, inscriptions, photographs, articles of clothing, smells, sounds, music, dramatizations of real or imagined situations, etc. used during ritual magic will serve the magician.

Images can be designated as a constant reminder, a means of saving intellectual energy, a working substitute for an object that exists in reality. They can be subjected to various changes, they can be designed, created again. Magicians perform these actions in accordance with their will, and the very model that is created with the help of the image is transformed into a formula that seeks to break out into reality.

The images used by magicians can be called working models of material reality, which is a complete contradiction of esoteric spirituality.

  • Choice of direction.

The practical application of ritual magic is often accompanied by ignoring a very important element - the direction of force.

A very common situation is when people, setting themselves the goal of becoming witches and magicians, performing a magical ritual, begin to wait impatiently for the first signs of its success to appear. A similar result could be achieved simply by kneeling down and praying.

It is worth remembering that too much excitement nullifies any chances of achieving real success. Giving too much importance to the expectation of results, the magician will not be able to accumulate and concentrate enough energy in himself to simply carry out and complete the process of the rite of ritual magic.

If you think too much about your actions, constantly complain about the current situation, then it is these emotions that will form the basis of your ritual, weakening and dispersing the directed ritual force. It is important to increase the desire to achieve the result in such a way and to such an extent that magical powers can be used, and then make the necessary efforts to accomplish the symbolic release of this desire through the performance of the ritual.

The performance of magical rituals has a special purpose, which is to free the magician from thoughts that could absorb him with constant reference to them. If you think too much, daydream, or constantly think about all sorts of options further development events, then the emotional energy that is necessary to achieve the result simply begins to dissipate, not giving the magician sufficient strength to successfully conduct the rite of ritual magic.

Any activity, including daily activities, will be less effective if a person is overly absorbed in various worries. There are many examples of how magicians misuse precious energy. For example, a witch tries to bewitch a person by allocating several minutes for the ritual between the hourly waiting for a call from him. Or the magician asks fate for financial prosperity, and then cannot live in peace in anticipation of sudden wealth. These examples vividly demonstrate the improper use of emotional energy. And the probability of a positive result after such magical rituals tends to zero.

  • The balance of the situation.

Such an element of ritual magic as maintaining the balance of the situation is more justified in the performance of sexual and beneficial rituals than in the application of curses. And although this link, at first glance, seems insignificant, in reality it is quite important. Not all witches and magicians have the ability to be fully aware of this factor.

In other words, keeping the balance of the situation requires that the magician understands and accepts the types of persons and situations, and therefore, each time he selects the appropriate magical rituals that achieve the greatest effect.

And although the ability to recognize one's own limitations seems like a very strange opportunity for self-improvement for a person who is eager to do what others cannot, it often determines the line between success and failure. Although bringing one's own desires in line with one's own abilities is in itself a great achievement, many people do not want to understand that the failure to achieve the maximum effect from the rites of ritual magic does not indicate their worthlessness. Remember that half a pie is better than none at all.

One of the most powerful tools of any magician is the ability to self-awareness, awareness and understanding of their own talents, capabilities, those of their features that are physically attractive and repulsive, etc., as well as a clear understanding of where, at what time, and the main thing is with whom it is best to use your knowledge and capabilities.

Many novice magicians are sure that if a magical action has sufficient power, then it is certainly doomed to success, even if there is a magical imbalance. But at the same time, these sorcerers forget about the most important thing, that the magical effect is only a part of nature. If these concepts are separated from each other, then a positive result will not be achieved. Success in ritual magic requires a harmonious interaction with nature, and not a denial of it.

What can ritual magic be used for?

Ritual magic refers to a special kind of witchcraft, involving the performance of a special ceremonial aimed at achieving a result.

It applies to:

    simple consecration of magical things;

    helping a person suffering from an illness;

    removing the influence of negative energy from a person (in other words, the evil eye and damage);

    various types of predictions (for example, fortune telling on Tarot cards, Runes), as well as ritual and ritual practices with candle magic, etc .;

calling various spirits to communicate and receive answers.

Ritual magic is based on its main tool - ritual.

A ritual is a traditional method used by a sorcerer to evocation and invocation of spirits and demons, to perform all sorts of magical manipulations, and much more. Often rituals end with amazing results, but the possibility of an unsuccessful outcome should not be denied either. The latter often happen to inexperienced magicians who are not fully aware and understand what the main tasks and functions of ritual actions are.

By itself, the ritual is not a guarantor of the result, does not create it. It is merely a means for the magician to express his own will outwardly. If, in the process of performing a certain ritual, the magician is calm and confident in the success of its implementation, then he intuitively acts in such a way that the goal will be achieved. The position of the sorcerer in relation to the goal is such that the path to its achievement becomes the shortest.

For example, the magician decides to perform a ritual to attract money on the eve of how to go to his boss for an increase in salary. To do this, he needs to buy ritual candles for gold-colored magic, light them, and also use cinnamon incense, call Mammon. The next day, the boss offers the magician a promotion that far exceeds his wildest fantasies. Having resorted to the ritual, the sorcerer at the level of instincts and his unconscious "I" performed those actions that allowed him to get what he wanted, having exerted the necessary influence on the boss in the right direction.

Through the ritual, the thinking and actions of the magician are strengthened, since he can concentrate energy and focus it on a certain final goal.

In order to successfully perform the ritual, in addition to its correct performance, there must be a focus on a target that is within the reach of the magician.

It is important that the sorcerer use his power constructively, not considering ritual as a substitute for active actions needed in other situations, not to be deluded about success in ritual magic. Contribute to real victory right conditions selected for the ritual, in this case, the actions of the magician embodied in the rite are enhanced.

Tools of ritual magic

If we talk about the material aspects of preparing for the ritual, then you need to do selection of a suitable site, execute necessary cleaning of the workplace, place the furniture depending on the envisaged physical movements. Choosing a location is an important part of the ceremony. Closed spaces are suitable for ritual magic, access to which has a limited circle of people. Especially the person to whom the action is addressed.

Before choosing a location, it is necessary to decide who will be allowed to visit the rituals, establish the requirements that must be observed when visiting, as well as the level of privacy necessary to perform ritual magic. Only after you clearly define the listed requirements, it will be possible to make a final decision regarding the choice of location.

According to professional magicians, special ceremonial vestments does not have.

In any case, neat and practical clothing is more important than following a certain style or color of clothing. However, sometimes the use of outfits with some kind of symbolism helps in establishing the appropriate atmosphere. As for wearing robes or capes with hoods during the preparation and conduct of ritual ceremonies, they help to focus on the main thing.

Disputes about which tools ritual magic cannot do without exist in our time. The more formal school of ritual magic in the West suggests the use of four tools. They symbolize connections with the four elements, and the fifth - the spirit - is directly the magician.

Wand. It is a symbol of the degree of desire or intention. With its help, the energy of the ritual is concentrated; rituals of evocation and resurrection cannot do without it.

Bowl. It personifies intuition, the range of its application in ritual magic is very wide.

Dagger or a small blade is the personification of the mind. A number of rituals allow the use of a sword. With its help, they restrain energy and create symbols and signs.

Pentacle. It symbolizes the body or physical form. It is used to tame the forces invoked, in some rituals it is replaced by a vessel containing water and salt.

In addition to these basic tools, other accessories are used in ritual magic, but they are already used at the discretion of the sorcerer.

Incense- with their help, the air is purified and the appropriate mood is set. They are also used to manifest spiritual (subtle) powers and project images.

Candles- are used for ritual and ritual practices in magic and are traditionally intended for illumination. Despite the fact that during use they can cause some inconvenience, they contribute to the creation of the atmosphere better than ordinary electric lighting. The light from them is minimal, in addition, in accordance with the ceremony, you can choose the color of the candles.

bells- the beginning and end of rituals in ritual magic are marked with a bell.

How to protect yourself from the consequences of ritual magic sessions

The basis of effective magical rites is the principle of the exchange of energies, which can be positive and negative. There are dark curses of ritual magic (the seal of loneliness, for example), from which you need to be able to defend yourself.

To protect against negative energy, you can and should use translation rituals or other protective methods.

Transfer to wood

In order to independently perform this protective rite, take the following materials:

    red wool thread;

    ritual knife for magic (you can buy such a tool in a specialized store);

    dark natural fabric.

The day of the exchange is traditionally considered the date of your birth, however, it is not necessary to perform the ritual in the month of birth, any other month of the year will do. Three days before the exchange it is necessary to tie a red woolen thread on the wrist of the working hand. Over the next three days, it cannot be removed, and the thread must not be allowed to get wet.

On the day of the exchange of the ritual knife for magic, an incision must be made on the thumb of the left hand. Then the thread is removed from the wrist, wetted with blood. After that, go to a pre-selected tree, tie a thread on any branch, make three knots and read a white plot on each of them that can protect against magic:

"Here's mine, and I want yours. I change with you, I close myself with you.

Having finished, without breaking the silence, break off (break off, not cut off) some other branch, put it in your bosom, and also leave in complete silence. At home, the branch will need to be wrapped in a dark cloth and stored away from prying eyes. When you tie a thread, keep in mind that it can be removed by someone, so choose a branch that is not in the most visible place.

When performing further rites of ritual magic, do not forget to put the brought branch next to you. Her energy will give you protection in the process of working with black magic, if necessary, will deflect the blow. This translation has a long-term effect, it is repeated once every six months. However, if the tree from which you broke off the branch suddenly fell ill, withered, was cut down, lightning hit it, etc., then the magical protection must be redone immediately.

Transfer to the cemetery

No one is safe from black influence, because to activate a spell of dark ritual magic, one hair of a potential victim is enough. It is important to be able to protect yourself from harmful influences. One of the strongest defenses is considered to be a withdrawal to the cemetery.

In order to protect yourself from evil, the evil eye, magical attacks, backflows, you need to go to the cemetery and, walking among the graves, read the spell seven times to yourself. This conspiracy can subsequently protect against negativity, as well as help in removing damage and a love spell:

“I ask for the churchyard army, I ask the owner of the churchyard for tacos. The coffin will open with a creak, and the path will spread out before me, then it is walked with steps, but no one has seen it, only the dead know. Taco there is a black hut, a military commander, an accomplice of a dead blacksmith. Then their swords are forged there, and the blades are tempered there, damask steel is damask steel, and steel is tacked there, arrows are sharpened there, and chain mail is knitted there, and a shield made by that blacksmith, and from the sins themselves, that shield is black forged, cooled down with tears, hardened by prayers, yes he is called a churchyard shield.

Either not with a bow, but with a word and with a firm tale, yes, this shield is requested, yes, I have requested, then I will hide with it, I will hide from the dash, from the strangler and the night destroyer, from the poison of the brew, from the course of the church, from the word of the witcher, from everything bad things that are done to me, then they will hide me from everything, but they will hide with this shield, it’s hard not to see, it’s bad not to foresee, to get along well, but to measure their good fate. Amen".

After that, you need to find any abandoned grave (it does not have to be nameless, but certainly old and unkempt), put and light a ritual candle for magic, while reading the spell:

“Forged, made, but made for me with a shield. Amen".

When finished, leave the cemetery without looking back. During the next lunar month, you should not go to the cemetery, otherwise you can break the power of your protective ritual.

Such a rite of ritual magic gives a very strong amulet if you intend to continue to perform rituals in the cemetery. Such magical defenses are mainly used by experienced sorcerers and magicians.

In general, we can say that the protections made in the graveyard have greater strength, durability and stability in comparison with demonic or neutral shields. Of course, many factors influence the strength and duration of protection.

If, after putting the cemetery protection on a person, a necro-binding occurs, it means that the ritual magic ritual was performed with gross violations. With correctly set protection against the effects of black magic, diagnostics will indicate the presence of a shield, and not a ghoul absorbing the victim.

To date, the number of magical schools and movements is very large. And each practicing magician has personal skills, best practices and unique experience. Warlocks work with higher powers according to their own rules, white magicians have their own. However, the higher powers themselves will be different for both. Consequently, they need to use different methods to protect against witchcraft and magic.

In order to understand what is the difference between certain magicians and sorcerers, what are the features of rituals and types of protection, it is worth referring to special literature - books on ritual magic.

Ritual Magic Books to Read

The book acquaints readers with those materials that were originally placed in the Book of Black Magic and Contracts. Only now the work has a new name, as well as numerous additions. In addition, it should be noted that the ceremonies to which the book is dedicated are absolutely identical to the original ones. This means that readers no longer need to constantly look for and refer to primary sources in order to verify the dubious provisions of the rites of ritual magic.

This book will help you answer many questions. For example, what was ritual magic originally? What was the power of sorcerers and magicians, persecuted, but at the same time, not losing their own pride? Why, in case of weakness or madness, were they honored, despite the great fear of them? Is it even possible to talk about the existence of magic?

Information about all people who have ever lived on Earth is collected in the Akashic Records, or the Book of Life. From this work, knowledge can be gleaned about the feelings that people experienced; about the things they did; about the thoughts and intentions that were inherent in them.

The book tells about past lives, as well as the possible future of any and each of the current ones. The author tells readers that they are personally responsible for their own destiny, and also talks about the ways and possibilities of changing it.

This work is devoted to a deep study of the source that gave insights to the famous medium Edgar Cayce. When it was necessary to obtain information, he turned to this particular book and claimed that thanks to it he gained fame as a great seer.

Edgar Cayce's Akashic Records convincingly shows that anyone can turn to their own chronicles that tell about the past, present and future, becoming an independent creator of their own destiny.

This book is a fundamental Russian-language edition of the main works of the great philosopher-mystic, occultist, naturalist and physician Philipp von Hohenheim, who was known in Europe as Paracelsus.

After reading the collection, one can get an idea of the most significant works created by the brilliant alchemist, natural philosopher and physician, who had a significant impact on the formation and development of science and philosophy, both in the Renaissance and in our time.

Ritual magic is a collection of the most ancient knowledge about the laws of the non-physical world. Using it, one can not only influence the events of the near future, but also strive to learn the most important and secret secrets of the Universe, and rise to the top of the human spirit.

The Book of the Magician Abramelin was written in the 15th century, but even today it is considered the most famous mystical text of all ages. Its creator was Abraham von Worms, a Jewish traveler who, wandering through the lands of Egypt, met the mysterious magician Abramelin. For ten florins and a promise to be a pious wizard, von Worms was given a magical manuscript, which later passed to his son Lamech.

The book tells about only one, but extremely difficult ritual - "operation". It was this name that Abramelin gave him. The rite consists of eighteen months of prayers and purifications, only healthy strong men, whose age is not less than 25, but not more than 50 years old, can perform it. As for women, the performance of the “operation” is not recommended for them in principle, due to their “curiosity and love for conversations”, although exceptions are possible for virgins.

Having completed all the steps of the “operation” in strict accordance and without losing determination, you can get in touch with your Guardian Angel, who gives wealth and amazing abilities (a person will master the art of necromancy, divination, foresight, weather control, learn various secrets, will be able to foresee the future , unlock closed doors).

A lot of attention in the manuscript is given to magic squares - this is how unique puzzle words are called. Along with the Icelandic rods described in Haldbrook, squares are able to acquire and reveal their mystical and occult properties when they are written out. For example, the word "Milon", being written on parchment and placed above the head, can tell about the secrets of the past and the future, and the word "Sinach" can unleash wars. The author says that a number of squares are too dangerous to be used.

This manuscript significantly influenced the famous occultist Aleister Crowley, who claimed to have experienced a series of supernatural events that happened after performing the ritual and joining the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (as the British order of magicians of the 19th century is called). Subsequently, Crowley used the manuscript as the basis for creating his own magical system.

"Witch's Happiness" - the magic starts here.

Originated in ancient Egypt. Here the caste of priests was engaged in magical experiments in order to get closer to understanding the matter of the Universe, controlling spirits and demons. The priests, in fact, usurped power over Egypt, making the pharaohs puppets. In doing so, they developed a number of formulas and magical actions that became the basis of later ceremonial magic.

Egyptian magicians accumulated knowledge for centuries, carefully recording and preserving the experience of their predecessors. They performed complex rituals of the Mysteries, during which spirits and demons were summoned. Egyptian magicians created universal symbols and figures that are still used today in fine work.

A significant problem arose when the Romans came to Egypt, in those days a false interpretation was given to the main Mysteries, which set ceremonial magic back many centuries. At this time, many superstitions and signs appeared, some of which still exist. We can say that black magic in the modern sense arose precisely then.

In the Middle Ages, it was on the basis of the Egyptian magical system, which the Romans brought to Europe, albeit in a distorted form, that a new magical system was created. A significant contribution to it was made by the Kabbalists, who devoted their lives to ceremonial magic, based on the belief that the Holy Books directly encourage the pursuit of the occult.

Ritual magic does not require any serious training, it is based on personal experience.

All this led to the extreme complication of this type of magic. It is believed that a magician who wants to turn to such forces must do it at a specific time (it depends on the purpose of the appeal), in strictly defined clothes, using wording honed for centuries, using sacred objects that can be passed down from generation to generation. The slightest mistake during the ceremony can lead to terrible consequences and even death of the magician.

It is believed that Hitler gathered a huge number of magicians initiated into the secrets of ceremonial magic.

ritual magic

Ritual, "low" magic is based on intuitive magical actions. In such magic, the magician's emotions are the main driving force. It can be both cherished, suffered emotions, and a sudden emotional outburst. Ritual magic requires certain actions within the framework of rather loose canons. In other words, the magician approximately knows what kind of actions he needs to perform to achieve the result, but the specific set of words and movements depends only on him. Ritual magic is aimed at solving conditionally everyday problems, in contrast to ceremonial.

is a real art that draws resources for itself from the very depths of our soul. Each of us has a power, but it is so hidden from prying eyes that if you do not strive for its realization, then it will not even manifest itself.

Many of those who mastered the secret powers and managed to discover them in themselves really became great sorcerers and magicians.

Magic can be of two kinds: abstract and ritual. Those who have just begun to study magic usually expect it to improve their well-being and financial situation. It should be noted that when you perform any ritual, it affects not only the surrounding world, but also the magician himself. Therefore, you should be careful and wish only one thing. No conflicting thoughts.

- magical actions associated with some things that have a magical meaning. When a magician uses ritual magic, his actions affect all four levels of human existence: mental, physical, spiritual and emotional. These levels are interconnected and influence each other. If the spirit is not harmonious, then neither the ritual nor the result expected from it will work.

Abstract magic is based on self-knowledge, internal energy and strength. Sorcerers who choose the path of abstract witchcraft do not use magical attributes, but rely only on energy connections. Sorcerers practicing abstract magic seek to strengthen their spirit and inner energy.

Ritual attributes of magic can be:

  • Circle. It is drawn in order to conduct a ritual and separate the ordinary world from the magical one. Usually, a circle is drawn to protect a certain territory.
  • Altar. In the center of the circle is usually located an altar, personifying the center of the universe. All the magical energy that is called by the sorcerer should be focused on the Altar.
  • Cloth. Before the ritual, it is worth putting on certain clothes that will be stored separately from others. It must be worn on a clean body. She seems to personify clothes made of pure light. It should be comfortable and not cause discomfort. For different needs, they wear clothes of various colors.
  • Dagger. The ritual dagger, also known as atame, is used for defense and other purposes. In ancient times, sorcerers used two types of knives - a white-handled dagger - for everyday activities, and a black-handled dagger - for rituals and magical deeds.
  • Ring. Many sorcerers who practice ritual magic have a magical ring. It is usually worn on the index finger. right hand and acts like a magnet to attract higher power. Usually, inscriptions with meaning can be applied to the ring, attracting energy. Sometimes, for different things, different rings should be used.

Many actions turn out to be on a variety of occult elements: fire, water, air and earth. Each of the elements has various types energy. Each element is also represented by its own special symbol. Fire - with a wand, air - a dagger, a symbol of water - a bowl, a symbol of earth - a disk or pentacle.

So, now you know about the existence of two types of magic - abstract and ritual, about each of them separately and those things that are used by sorcerers who practice ritual magic.

Ritual is one of traditional methods, which the magician uses for evocation and invocation of gods and demons, for magical manipulations and much more. Often sorcerers get amazing results, but the ritual can also fail. Failures are most common for inexperienced magicians who do not yet fully understand the basic functions of the ritual. The ritual itself does not create a result. The ritual is the means through which the magician can express his will for himself. When the magician, through ritual, confirms to his whole existence that a certain result will be successful, he will instinctively act in such a way as to achieve the goal. The magician takes such a position in relation to the goal that the path to it is the shortest. For example: the magician performs a money ritual in the evening before asking his boss for a raise. He lights golden candles, cinnamon incense and invokes Mammon. The next day, he receives a promotion beyond his wildest dreams. Through the ritual, he instinctively and partly unconsciously acted in a way that allowed him to achieve his goal by influencing his boss in the right direction.
This can be seen as a typical example of conventional psychology, where the person in question gains confidence through ritual and thus acts in a more forceful manner when speaking to their superior. This may also be true, but the goal has been achieved. When a magician performs a ritual, it does not matter whether "supernatural" energies are involved or only psychology, provided that the desired results are achieved. The ritual strengthens the thinking and actions of the magician, as it concentrates energy and focuses it on the expressed goal. Manipulative magic of this kind is only one form of magic (even if that's what most people might associate with the word). Some magicians can be successful in manipulative magic without any development of their mind. The misunderstandings associated with magic are mainly the result of the general public's lack of historical knowledge. Magic, from a historical point of view, is one of the most important views on existence. Magic is the development, sharpening of attention and increase in human awareness. In contrast to the religious orientation - which is associated with the presentation of various powers and with supplication - the magician works to develop individual abilities. Magic also differs from or goes beyond the positivist scientific tradition, which maintains that everything is determined through cause and effect, so magic cannot be explained using logical theorems. Magic (as opposed to this form of science) is not based on the idea that man is deterministic, but that each man has within himself the conditions for an individual will. Magic protects itself from one-sided rational thinking and dogmatic belief.
In Dragon Rouge, ritual magic is often used to aid in deeper magical initiation processes. The suggestive power of the ritual has a powerful effect on the whole person - on the conscious and unconscious levels. Often rituals can initiate processes that bring many things to the surface. The magician may also notice the effect of rituals in dreams. In dark magical rituals, large amounts of energy are often released. This can have an overwhelming effect on the consciousness of the magician, his sense of self and existence in general. Light magical rituals, on the other hand, can bind energies and create order and structure. The dark magician is continuously in the process of liberation from unconscious (individually acquired, personal) structures. Thus, he or she can also create a light magical ritual in certain situations. This is typical for situations in which you have the need to bind energies. The magician must maintain a balance between right and left, light and dark. It would be pointless to work exclusively with the dark power of decay. To be able to create and cause change, both aspects are needed.
Some people may have a natural tendency to get stuck in behavioral patterns and unconscious structures, while others may tend to seek chaos, change and development. The dark magician creates a balance and cooperation between light and darkness - while most esoteric systems do not even acknowledge the existence of the dark side (which does not mean that it ceases to exist.) The dark magician must work consistently in order to wake up from orthodox sleepwalking, which in most people gets stronger over time as their energy stagnates more and more.
The same applies to incantation rituals: it is not the sigils, the numbers and incense themselves conjure the entity; they are only a code by which you contact the parts of the mind that must be opened in order for the perception of the being to be possible. Various ritual attributes help to concentrate the mind and place it in the right state. The attributes will change the corresponding levels of consciousness and the astral sphere of the entity. For this reason, it is rather useless to try to summon water mermaids to Golahab (fire world). They represent different phenomena and require different attributes that match their specific qualities.
In order for a ritual or other magical work to be successful, the right action must be directed towards a target that is somehow within the reach of the magician: or, as Aleister Crowley stated in his magical postulates, "In order to bring about any change First of all, it is necessary to find out the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the conditions necessary for this change. Crowley mentions, as an example of a magical operation doomed to failure, the calling of rain in the Sahara. Such a ritual would be just a waste of energy. The magician must use his power in the most constructive way and not consider ritual as a substitute for active action in other situations. For a ritual to be significant, the right conditions must be present and then what the magician is doing through the ritual is enhanced and placed in the right position.

Evocation and invocation

Ritual magic is largely based on invocation and evocation. The magician conjures the names of various spirits that can serve him or provide him with various gifts. The terms invocation and evocation are derived from the Indo European root "vac". In Indian tradition, this is a goddess called Vak; she is the embodiment of that word and is the primordial power of all gods. In Latin we can find the word vocalis which comes after the word "vowel", as well as the word voco which means "to summon" and this word which is behind the terms invocation and evocation. If we add the prefix "in" we get the word invoco, which means "shout" or "call". Invocations are characterized by invoking higher powers to make them more abstract, while evocation seeks to evoke the spirit in a more concrete way.

Four directions and four elements

In magic, the world is often divided into four elements that represent certain qualities. The elements of fire, air, water and earth. This division is still consistent, even if many today view it as four forms that the elements can take.
Fire: plasma form
Air: gaseous form
Water: liquid form
Lands: solid form
The four elements correspond to the four cardinal points (South, East, West and North) and a large number of other principles and symbols in the occult. On the altar of the magician, there are a number of objects or magical weapons that correspond to the four elements. These are magical weapons: a wand, a bowl, a dagger and a pentacle. In addition to magical weapons, there are other additional magical items that the mage can also have on the altar.
The number four often represents a form of "balance" and "unity" as an image of the material plane and its elements.
A person orients himself to the four cardinal directions and usually divides things into four: four primordial qualities, four elements, four colors, a four-caste system in India, four paths of spiritual development in Buddhism, and so on. The circle represents the perfect completion, while the number four is its natural minimum division.
According to Carl Gustav Jung, the number four is represented in many religious and esoteric systems as 3 + 1, so that one of the blocks was in a special relationship and in some way different, like the element of fire in relation to the other three elements. If the fourth element is connected to another, the result is "One" which means unity. Jung implied that Christianity removed the fourth principle, which corresponds to the Devil or shadow, and left only the trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), which is why Christianity is unbalanced.

Symbolism of the altar

Tools of the four elements on the altar:
ROCK: Fire. Phallus. The true will of the magician. Rising during invocations and ceremonies of the Will.
BOWL: Water. Boiler. Womb. Dreams and their fulfillment.
The magician drinks from the cup in order to become one with will and dreams. Used to change and recreate the magician in a ceremony. It is most often filled with pure water, red wine, stimulant drinks (tea, coffee, yohimbe, kava kava, damiana, etc.) or magic potion.
DAGGER (SORDER): Air. Cleansing. Mental strength and attention.
Power over unwanted energies and unwanted elements in the magician and his/her life. Used to cleanse the room, the altar and the magician before and after work.
PENTACLE (SEAL; PENTAGRAM): Earth. The manifestation of the Spirit and power on the earthly plane. Soul of nature and mother earth.
Protection from unwanted energies and a gateway to desired energies.

magical fire

As a first step in ritual magic, the magician must learn to use "magical fire". This can be done by visualizing a fire burning in the hands. Breathe deeply and direct the concentrated consciousness into the palms of the hands, the magician can feel them begin to vibrate with strong energy. Energy can be felt in the form of magical or astral fire. These lights can be used in most situations; they can be used to banish and purify oneself by covering the aura, and they can be used to cure illness. In curses, the fire may be directed at the image of the victim and the fire must be charged with an aggressive character. Only after a long preparation will the fire become strong. The magician must be able to see his flame and feel its warmth. The more the Kundalini awakens, the more fire can be called up in the hands.
The magician must work to make the magical fire his automatic ally in dreams and astral travel. One should try to see fire in a dream. The deeper you go into the unknown realms, the more important it becomes to have this fire as a defense and a weapon. If you are attacked by hostile forces, fire is used to destroy the enemy.
Each time the magician experiments with or uses fire, the fire becomes stronger. Just as its energy increases with the awakening of the Dragon Force, it can be used to awaken the Kundalini. In this case, the magician directs the fire into the Muladhara chakra, the base of the spine, and draws it through the body. This can be done in connection with astral or auric sex, where just touching the aura around the erogenous zones is enough to get an orgasm.

Purification rituals

Light magic tends to focus on cleansing and protection circles, which are supposed to protect the magician from the powers he/she summons. In dark magic, the magician seeks to meet forces on equal terms, but in the early stages, various forms of protection must be used. The beginner should use the circles for more demanding operations as he may not be strong enough to face the forces without it. You create a circle in the air using a magical dagger or wand. The circle can also be drawn with chalk, charcoal or salt.
Exorcisms are also important to Daconian magic. They mark and delimit the ritual, they open and close the gates; they can act as protection - a psychic and astral barrier or screen. It is also important to strengthen the energy and aura before and after dark magical works.
After this explanation, it is also important to note that banishments and purifications are essential to successful magical work. If the magician cannot free himself from negative and unwanted energies, the magical work will be much less effective and perhaps even dangerous. Abramelin points out the importance of cleanliness in his advice to the magician: "Get used to cleanliness as much as possible, both body and mantle, this is very important, as spirits, good and evil, love cleanliness." If the magician does not follow this recommendation, the rituals can become dangerous. Instead of contacting the desired spirit, all rituals can open up to destructive and painful energies. Often these energies take the form of thoughts and emotions. A magician who has been suddenly overwhelmed by destructive and negative thoughts may have forgotten to perform the banishment.
One of better ways cleansing is to take a bath; cleansing oils such as rosemary or lavender should be added to the water. Everyone can also cleanse the aura using a feather or a magical dagger. But, the use of magical fire is the most effective way exile and cleansing. Having awakened this fire, one can read the invocation of the Dragon; then the magician stands up and visualizes himself standing in the center of a blazing fireball. This fire burns all negative energies in the aura, body and soul. The following are two examples of a cleansing ritual:

Purification Ritual 1:

The magician sits in the center of a circle of seven white candles. He reflects on existing thoughts and emotions. Negative aspects are written down on a sheet of paper. The magician then proceeds to meditate on them and tries to see their origin. When their origin is discovered, the magician burns the note and places the ashes in a box. Purifying incense is then lit and the magician purifies the aura with a pen or dagger. The magician inhales part of the incense through the nose and sings: "FIFALZ FABOAN EOLIS PIAP ETHARZI". Then the Magician goes into the open air and buries the box containing all the negative emotions and thoughts.
Purifying incense: verbena, fennel, lavender, valerian, mint, basil, rosemary and isop.

Purification Ritual 2:

This ritual is mainly meant to banish a specific area. Therefore, the ritual is best performed after the personal cleansing of the magician. This ritual is based on Enochian magic and purifies the astral atmosphere, cardinal directions and elements.
The magician lights a white candle and saffron incense. He takes a magical dagger and moves it into the smoke. Then, the magician directs him to the East and draws a banishing pentagram of air and says: “I call you Bataivah (Bataivah), king of the air, so that you can bring purification with your breath, like a fresh wind in the eastern sky. May your storms drive away all unwanted clouds. O Bataiwah, let your wind be as clear as thought."
Then the magician turns to the South, draws a pentagram of fire and says: “I call on you, Elprnaa (Elprnaa), king of fire, so that you can let your flame cleanse the South of the old ashes. Let the new flame burn and consume all unnecessary waste. Oh, Edprnaa, let your fire burn like the warmth of emotions.”
The magician turns to the West, draws a pentagram of water and says: “I call on you Raagiosl, king of water, so that you let your waves cleanse the seas of rotting seaweed. Let your waters flow and carry away all unwanted debris. O Raagiosl, let your waters rise like a stream of creativity."

And finally, the magician turns to the North: “I call you, Ikzhikal (Ikzhikal), king of the earth, so that you allow the old dirt to rejuvenate and receive new fertility. Let the old compost rot and become pure energy in your soil. Oh Ikzhikal, may your soil be as rich as being itself." The ritual ends with a brief meditation on the white candle.

Opening magical gates through meditation

In addition to working with dreams, the magician must learn to meditate. This is extremely important if you want to be able to control your mind and enter the dark realms. At first, meditation will help the magician develop concentration and will power, but eventually meditation will increase psychic abilities and only a brief meditation will be required in order to be able to enter the proper state of mind and achieve the desired goals. The object of meditation is not as important in the beginning as the fact that you are meditating. You can start by simply trying to relax and calm your mind, perhaps by listening to music that seems appropriate to you in total darkness with your eyes closed. The music must embrace the entire consciousness and all other thoughts and feelings must be let go.
When this procedure feels natural, meditation can be developed by concentrating on occult symbols and words that are slowly chanted during deep exhalations.

Mantras

A mantra is a sound or phrase that has sacred power. Already in Vedic times, there was the idea of "mystical sounds", the so-called mantras, of which the highest matra was the mantra Om and it was identified with Brahman, the Vedas and all the greatest gods. But mainly in Tantrism, mantras began to be used as a method to achieve higher states of consciousness. By repeating a mantra properly, the yogi wishes to receive its ontological essence, to assimilate the deity or state of consciousness that the mantra represents. The mantra can be used to increase concentration or focus on a particular topic. Mantras can especially, when worked with for extended periods, act as powerful magical tools.

Mandalas and Sigils

Like mantras, mandalas act as a meditation tool to help the magician maintain concentration. The word Mandala means "circle". The mandala is often created by one or more concentric circles that surround a quadruple space.
A mandala can appear in a variety of ways, the simplest form being the "yantra", the form of a pattern built by a series of triangles surrounded by circles. The downward pointing triangle symbolizes the yoni, the feminine principle of Shakti, and the upward pointing triangle represents the masculine principle, Shiva. Bindu in the center represents Brahman.
Magical sigils are often based on the circle and the number four. According to Jung, the mandala is like a magic circle and is associated with directions (the number four, square, cross, etc.) - the most common symbol of the self. The archetype of the Self in Jung's terminology means "the unity of all that we are" (something far beyond the mundane self) and at the same time, something more than this - a force that allows us to constantly develop.
For Jung, “the realization of the Self means basically two things: the full development of the individual and the valuable experience of something that goes beyond the individual.
The magician not only uses sigils that are built from circles, but also uses many asymmetrical symbols that are created from words or images. The sigil must operate on a subconscious level. If the magician wishes to achieve magical power, he can first write down POWER and then, step by step, turn this word into an abstract seal. In this way, words and letters will not be limited to the outer conscious level, but can begin to operate on the inner, unconscious level. In the same way, the magician can create a seal from the magical name. See below:

Summoning and awakening the Dragon through a ceremony

Apart from the purification ceremony (which are performed in the morning and at night respectively), the magician must work hard to awaken the inner life force and energy through Dragon rituals, Kundalini meditation, ecstatic exercises (through dance, drumming, etc.) and similar things.
The most key meditation in the dark magic of Dragon Rouge is the tantric awakening of the Kundalini. However, there are many ways to awaken the inner Dragon. The feeling may differ from person to person and from time to time, but it is always an overwhelming, ecstatic experience. When the force is fully awakened, the Kundalini serpent rises up along the spine until it radiates through the head; on this stage the snake acquires wings and becomes a dragon. It can feel as if your whole being, all thoughts and feelings explode, and as if electricity is flowing through your body. The magician feels that he connects with the universal energy. This is often a lengthy process. If any phase passes too quickly, there may be some side effects e.g. high temperature.
To awaken the Kundalini, the magician can visualize a red glowing snake coiled around the genital area. The breath must be deep enough to reach the snake and through the oxygen it will receive life and the inner fire will rise more and more. The fire will rise through the body like the flames of a volcano.
Awakening the Dragon is the most important task for a dark magician; this work will continue through the various stages from the beginning to the end of the magical initiation. When the magician fully awakens the inner Dragon, all power will reach the stage where one can become one with God. Now, the promise made by the serpent in Creation 3:5 is fulfilled: “…when you eat it, your eyes will be opened so that you can become like God and understand what is good and what is evil.”
We now introduce the Dragon Invocation, which is commonly used in Dragon Rouge, both individually and in group work. The ceremony should be performed regularly on a magic altar, but it is also well suited to be performed in outdoor energy places. The feeling of the Dragon's power can vary depending on where and when the ceremony is held. Usually the results are stronger, the farther from human habitation and other human influences, the ritual is performed.
As a rule, dark magical rituals and rites should be performed in desert places, which will promote a sense of sublime, a feeling that arises in front of something beautiful and fearsome. Deserts, swamps, mountains, dark forests, desolate shores, and places near swamps are suitable environments. The magician may also perform ceremonies in cemeteries and burial sites, abandoned houses, or ruins. But a personal dark magical Temple, even if it is only a dedicated part of the room where the mage is likely to perform most of his magical work, is essential.

DRAGON CEREMONY

The magician stands facing west and seven candles burn on a table or altar. A suitable statue or image of a dragon must be in sight. The room is filled with incense (musk or dragon's blood powder) and appropriate music must be used (for example, the overture to Wagner's Tannhäuser). The magician raises his wand and sings the challenge:
MELEZ!
I, NN, summon the Dragon; lord of ancient Atlantis, inhabitant of the abyss in the depths of my soul. I summon the Dragon. Rise from the deep layers of the ocean. Get out of the dark. Let your flame light up my darkness
existence.
LEPACA KLIFFOTH MARAG TEHOM KAMUSIL NOGAR LEVIATHAN RUACH
MOSCHEL NAGID THELI!
Let the flame of your jaws be the force of my existence. I call upon you, most ancient of the ancients. O Tehom, come out of the shadows, rise from the black sea of chaos and destroy the lies we perceive as truth. I conjure your power to become one with my being. Come to me, wanderer on the Draconian Path, giving life and death, summoning flames from the maw of the great Red Dragon.
TEHOM HAROMBRUB ROGGIOL BURIOL MARAG ABAHIM THELI IPAKOL LORIOL!
HO DRAKON HO MEGAS!
The words that are chanted are words of power, demonic names or dragon names. After the call, the magician meditates, standing or sitting, on the power of the dragon arising inside him and in the room. The atmosphere around the magician during and after the ritual can feel both hot and cold at the same time, and is often filled with power and mystical presence. The magician may occasionally feel that the atmosphere is "breathing". This is called "dragon breath".

Fourth month exercises

Create a magical altar. You must also acquire four magical elemental weapons. Purchase a statue or image representing the Dragon.
Consecrate your altar by conducting a Purification Ritual II, then a Dragon Ceremony to awaken the powers and manifest them in magical weapons.
Practice dreaming exercises. You can program your dreams and perform conscious actions in a dream. Focus on dreaming about your hands and being aware of it in your dream. The hands are the part of the body that represents actions. Hands are a good symbol for this purpose, and as a result it can lead to the ability to act consciously in dreams. Be patient. Quick results are rare.
Meditate on the breath and explore how you can change your mood and your inner energies by changing your breathing. Learn how you can increase your energy and focus by changing your breathing. Perform physical activities (like running, exercising, or having sex) and surpass your previous records with proper breathing. Generally, belly breathing is the most powerful. Place one hand on your stomach and the other on your chest to see if your chest moves. During proper belly breathing, the chest does not move. You can also use deep belly breathing to relieve stress. Try it out. For example, drink several cups of tea or coffee until you start to feel tense; then try to calm yourself using only the breath. You may even be able to sleep. Finally, combine the breath meditation with the Fire Dragon meditation; sit in front of the altar with a single burning red candle. Use dragon's blood or musk incense.

Recommended literature:
"Liber Null & Psychonaut" by Peter Carroll.
This is a good basic magic book that builds on the so-called Chaos Magic that was popular in the 80's. She describes magical sigils and other purely practical exercises. The problem with Chaos Magic, however, is its deep relativism, which says that if you are a modern computer-oriented person, then it is easier for you to crash a computer than to control a Black Mass. In Dragon Rouge, on the other hand, we view religious symbols as archetypal and that they exist at the deepest levels of the human psyche, regardless of time or culture. The latest modern phenomena do not reach the same deep levels of our mind. Thus, we believe that the traditional antinomian rituals and incantation dark entities has a very deep effect on initiations, while chaos magical rituals will only affect the magician superficially.

Additional literature:
Liber Kaos by Peter Carroll
"Magic" by Aleister Crowley.
The most important person in modern magic is probably Crowley with his Magic (Book 4 and Magic in Theory and Practice, several editions exist) - a good introduction to magic and its philosophy. It should be remembered, however, that Crowley wanted to create his own religion and that he mainly focused on the tradition of light, despite calling himself the "Great Beast of 666".
It is also recommended to read other works of Crowley as well as C. G. Jung and his followers for a psychological perspective and philosophers such as Heraclitus, Plato, Plotinus, Fichte, Nietzsche and Bergson.

What is Ritual Magic?

Ritual Magic- this is a direction of magical art, based on an understanding of the way of interaction with Spirits and Deities through a special symbolic language - ritual. Ritual Magic, in its essence, is the basis for all magical arts, since it appeals to such a basic concept that is included in the very essence of any magical action.

Almost every magical science uses its own rituals. Regardless of the direction of the development of the Mage, whether it be Spirituality (invoking and communicating with Spirits) or Runic Magic, the Mage will need to work with the ritual one way or another. And in order for this to be effective and of high quality, knowledge about Ritual Magic and the rituals themselves is needed.

The basic knowledge in Ritual Magic is the knowledge of the ritual and its structure. It is the understanding of the structure of the ritual and the principles of the interaction of its elements that allows the Magician to adapt the ritual to various conditions and vary its goals. Ignorance of the principles of Ritual Magic leads to the fact that the Magician turns into a "monkey" repeating actions without understanding their essence. And this, in turn, significantly reduces the effectiveness of these actions.

More about rituals, their types and types will be discussed in the classes devoted to this topic. Now it is important to note that by ritual we mean something definite and concrete. At the same time, the ritual is not a rigid structure that is not subject to change. In our understanding, a ritual consists of elements whose order does not change, some of which can be changed, thus changing the quality and character of the whole ritual.

It should also be said about 2 opposite opinions about Ritual Magic, which are not typical for our teaching, but they well emphasize the position of our School. The 1st opinion refers to the magical teachings of Europe, which produce a ritual in the rank of unshakable action, a violation or inaccurate action in any of its elements can not only destroy the entire effect, but also lead to an absolutely opposite result. As we can see, this opinion is based on the understanding of the ritual as an unchanging structure. The 2nd opinion is typical for modern New Age eso-currents, which are very frivolous about the ritual, calling them any actions performed by their followers on a whim near improvised magical instruments. This point of view on the ritual completely eliminates its significance.

Passing the basic course on Ritual Magic at the School of Magic of Fire, the student receives knowledge about all types and types of rituals that are used in all magical arts taught at the School. And additional courses on the Magic of Candles and Lunar Magic expand the student's understanding of Ritual Magic and give him additional tools to interact with the world.

Common Misconceptions About Ritual Magic

The beginner Mage, when first approaching Ritual Magic, may have a somewhat inaccurate idea of it. In many ways, modern cinema, trying to show the image of the Magician, makes it excessively bright, and reduces magic itself to performing any action through an effort of will. Thus, Mages in movies and books are able to throw fireballs right and left and hit enemies with lightning from their eyes. On the one hand, such an image kindles the beginner's interest, and on the other hand, it distorts his perception so much that it becomes difficult for the beginner to work with real Forces.

A considerable influence on the process of development and reproduction of various kinds of delusions is exerted by people who, for absolutely incomprehensible reasons, consider themselves magicians. The latter are inclined to pass off their fragmentary knowledge, scooped up from dubious sources and mixed with their imagination for some kind of revelation. Peru of such figures owns all sorts of thoughts and conclusions that it is dangerous to conduct rituals, because through them certain entities draw energy from the participants in the ritual. Or summoning Spirits is dangerous, since they are all pests and at any convenient moment are ready to attack a person and eat him. Or, for the rituals, sacrifices are certainly needed, and bloody ones.

Another category of delusions comes from insecure Mages who, trying to strengthen their rituals and throw dust in the eyes of the customer, begin to come up with some difficult to implement and often completely meaningless actions. One of these “magicians”, while cleaning a person with candles, wrapped the candle in such an amount of paper that it turned out to be a ball the size of 2 fists. The paper was tightly compressed, which complicated the next step - the one to be cleared had to go alone at night through 2 intersections to 3, where this bundle had to be burned. The apotheosis of such "solutions" is the recommendation for women who want to increase the passion of their husband, quietly pass their urine three times through the husband's ring without removing it from their hands.

Why "book" magic doesn't work?

It's hard enough to find literature on Magic these days! And this despite the fact that bookstores are littered with all sorts of esoteric literature. And book publishers unanimously claim that esoteric literature is in second place in popularity in their business after school textbooks. Why do we say that literature on Magic is hard to find? The fact is that 99.99% of books are written by people who are either far from Magic or written to sell themselves. The first write books simply to order, collecting information on forums and processing the text a little. The latter write books to maintain their status. If the former write nonsense because of ignorance, then the latter simply pour water for the sake of the process itself.

Another significant disadvantage of studying the magical arts from books is the lack of like-minded people, joint practice and a teacher who can be asked how to be in a given situation. Alas, the book will never be able to replace either like-minded people, or joint practice, and even more so a teacher.

What does it mean to be a Magician?

First, let's define the concept "Mag" And "a person who uses magical techniques (chimp)" . In the opinion of our School, these concepts have a number of fundamental differences that can be fully comprehended only by those who have already become a Magician or are confidently moving towards it. However, one of the most important differences is worth saying and giving it a clear justification.

For a Magician, Magic is a way of life, and for a Chimp, it is a way to solve petty everyday problems.

Let's take it apart. What does "For a Magician, Magic is a way of life..." mean? The fact that for the Magician Magic is not a set of techniques and actions, but the way of his development, understanding himself and the world around him. For the Magician, Magic is life itself, and this attitude permeates all the actions of the Magician. The magician does not seek to use everything he knows at every opportunity and inconvenience. The magician knows where to say and where to remain silent, where to act and where to do nothing. The magician does not hide his weakness behind knowledge. The opposite position is the chimpa position, which consists in solving one's petty everyday problems and, in the literal sense, imposing one's "help" on other people in exchange for a reward. Chimp tries to cover his weaknesses with some knowledge torn from the teachings in order to be able to influence the situation secretly when he is clearly afraid to act. But as experience shows, such attempts are always weak and ineffective.

Summing up the above, we repeat that for the Magician Magic is the path of development. And, therefore, to be a Magician means to move along this path!

What qualities do you need to possess in order to master magical power?

One of the most important elements of the magical path is the mastery of magical power, which in itself is not an easy act. Mages of the older generation said the following about magical power:

Magic power is a "fish" that must be caught without being seen.
Magic power is a "beast" that must be tamed without touching it.
The magical power is a "person" that one must learn to understand without talking to him.

All these metaphors are directly related to the understanding of what magical power is and through what it can be mastered.

"Fish"- this is our hidden potential, resting at the bottom of our nature. It does not exist at all, since it does not manifest itself until it is discovered. In order to "catch a fish" - to reveal your inner potential - you need to learn to observe yourself, become internally quiet, concentrated and conscious, and only then "not seeing", but knowing, you can find yourself first, which is called "real I".

"Beast"- these are our instincts and desire for peace, control and comfort, all that does not allow us to be free. The "beast", unlike the "fish", is always in sight, but it is not possible to touch it, since its changeable nature does not allow us to satisfy all its needs. Having received one thing, the "beast" instantly begins to desire something else. The only way to "tame the beast" is to master the desires and become free - to devote yourself to the high goal of gaining freedom, to burn for it and desire it so strongly that restlessness and peace become indistinguishable from each other. So you can find yourself a second one, which is called "free I".

"Human"- this is the Divine wisdom in us, with which we are not able to communicate (exchange something). In accordance with the nature of Divine wisdom, we are only able to listen to its quiet voice, which can easily be drowned out by any desire to do not what is right, but what is easier. Each of these actions weakens our "hearing" and leads us to the fact that we completely lose the opportunity to hear God in ourselves. In order to learn to "understand man" - to hear Divine wisdom - one must become pure in one's thoughts, words and deeds. And only by becoming a conductor of the Heavenly Will on earth can you find yourself a third one, which is called "pure I".

How to master the art of rituals?

In order to learn how to conduct rituals and master Ritual Magic, you need to learn. But studying only theoretical material can lead to awareness of the subject and lack of skills. Therefore, in addition to theory, it is necessary to conduct practice, starting with daily and seasonal rituals and ending with rituals performed with a specific purpose. The course on Ritual Magic contains rituals, the implementation of which will not only allow you to develop the necessary skills, but also make you stronger. The course provides for rituals addressed to the Elements, various Spirits and Deities. The course also discusses rituals aimed at providing various effects on other people (healing, protection, attack, etc.) and rituals aimed at interacting with Heavenly Spirits and gaining one's Spirit-Ally.

To achieve the best effect from training, the first steps in Magic are best taken in a group of like-minded people and under the supervision of mentors.
