The same list can include Sri Lanka, the USA, the Philippines, and Malaysia. However, longans are not as common there as in China and Thailand.

In Southeast Asia, the sale of exotic fruits brings good profits. A third of fresh longans are sent to Europe and America, Asian countries. Ingredients for the dough:

  • 350 g flour;
  • 85 g sugar;
  • 50 g butter;
  • 10 g yeast (dry product);
  • 120 ml milk;
  • 2 eggs;
  • a pinch of salt.
  • Filling:
  • 200 g longan;
  • 90 g jam;
  • 80 g dates;
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder.

Preparation:

  1. The milk is heated (it should be slightly warm, not hot) and combined with sugar (not all of it, only 35 g), salt, butter, eggs.
  2. Yeast is poured into a homogeneous mixture, and the contents of the container are mixed again.
  3. Mix the flour in parts. The dough should be soft (well-kneaded dough will not stick to your hands). It is covered and left to rise in a warm place. This will take approximately 1 hour.
  4. Pitless dates are combined with an exotic fruit, crushed using a blender and added to jam (any kind will do, choose according to your taste), mix thoroughly.
  5. The resulting dough is cut into 8 equal parts and formed into balls. Set 3 balls aside and cover with a clean towel to prevent the dough from drying out. The remaining balls are rolled into a circle.
  6. To move on to the next step, first prepare the baking sheet. Cut a piece of parchment of the required size and place it on a baking sheet, grease with oil.
  7. Divide the filling evenly into four circles and place them on top of each other on a baking sheet. Place the fifth circle without filling on top of the future bun.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. glutinous rice;
  • 6 tbsp. + 1 and ¼ tbsp. water for cooking the product;
  • ¼ tbsp. sake;
  • 20 longans (both dried and smoked are suitable);
  • 1 tbsp. Sahara.

Preparation:

  1. Combine rice and water (6 tbsp.), Leave to swell for 8 hours.

  3. Rice is cooked in a rice cooker or boiled in a saucepan. Next, the remaining water and sake are poured into it.

Alcoholic cocktail

Ingredients:

  • vodka and orange juice in a ratio of 2:1 - 60 and 30 ml, respectively;
  • 40 ml Blue Curacao liqueur;
  • 8 longan fruits;
  • ice to cool the drink.

Preparation:

  1. Alcohol is combined with juice, longan and ice.
  2. Mix the ingredients using an electric mixer and distribute into 2 glasses. If desired, orange slices are used for decoration.

Liquor

Harm and contraindications

In general, the product is safe, but in some cases you should avoid using it:

  1. Individual intolerance to the components, accompanied by manifestations of an allergic reaction.
  2. Age less than 3 years (for the first time they produce no more than 6–8 fruits).
  3. Excess vitamin C.
  4. Disturbances in the digestive tract (a laxative effect develops).

Harm to the fruit appears in cases where unripe fruits are eaten (asthma may develop).

Only the pulp is used for food, no more than 150–200 g per day. Vitamin C in this amount of “dragon eye” is as much as 84 mg, despite the fact that the daily norm is 75–90 mg.

To clean the fruit, it is squeezed tightly. The skin cracks and can be easily removed. You can go the other way and make a small incision. Removing the pit is not difficult; it easily comes away from the pulp. The fruit can be pre-sprinkled with cinnamon sugar or just sugar and eaten.
