Samsung Galaxy S8 mobile phone - “What can the Samsung S8 do? Create animation, measure heart rate and stress level. Built-in masks and pedometer

samsung galaxy S7 edge promises to be the loudest flagship of this year, in ten days it will appear in stores and you can hold it in your hands. In fact, the Seventh Galaxy is an improved version of the S6. Korean developers listened to the criticism of users and brought their flagship to perfection.

Specifications and performance

  • Samsung Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core processor @ 2.3 GHz;
  • video accelerator: Mali-T880;
  • Android OS latest version 6.0 Marshmallow;
  • 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory;

  • dual SIM support;
  • GPS, GLONASS and Beidou navigation;
  • proximity, light and heart rate sensors, microgyroscope;
  • Fingerprint's scanner;
  • battery capacity 3600 mAh.

The first thing we see is that the Koreans returned the memory card slot to the flagship, users a year ago were not happy with its absence. The battery capacity has also increased.

The installed "iron" allows you to use the device to the fullest. It is foolish to assume that there are applications that the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge would not pull. In fact, today it is the most productive smartphone in the world.

Appearance

Like last year, the novelty is amazing. The design concept is old, with minimal changes. The first thing that catches your eye is that the smartphone has become smaller, the screen has shrunk from 5.7 to 5.5 inches. This is the first Galaxy S series that is much smaller than its predecessor.

There are three color options in total: Black Diamond, Dazzling Platinum and Titanium Silver. All three look stunningly beautiful.

Almost the entire front part is occupied by a display with curved sides, above it is a front camera with sensors. The Samsung logo flaunts under the speaker. Below are three touch-sensitive Android keys.

The back side is also covered with protective glass, which is curved at the edges. The new smartphone has become a little thicker, as users asked for a more capacious battery. At the top of the rear surface is a stylish and slightly updated camera unit with a heart rate sensor. You can put your finger on the sensor and measure the pulse.

In general, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has retained all the advantages of the previous generation, while becoming stricter and more concise.

Screen

The novelty has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with the highest Quad HD resolution to date. With such high resolution individual pixels can only be seen with a magnifying glass. The screen is distinguished by natural color reproduction, the widest possible viewing angles and a huge supply of brightness. Oleophobic and anti-reflective coating available.

The display evokes not just positive emotions, it creates a real WOW-effect, especially with curved sides.

Camera

The main camera has a 12-megapixel sensor with LED flash and autofocus. You can see that compared to the previous generation, the camera has lost 4 megapixels. However, this does not mean that it has become worse, on the contrary, it is better. The Koreans installed new optics, the quality of the pictures is beyond praise.

The camera app launches instantly, autofocus catches the right subjects even faster. It's safe to say that the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge camera is the best on the market. mobile devices. The quality of the pictures under any conditions is excellent. The same applies to video recording.

The 5-megapixel front-facing camera also delivers superb selfies. Especially for selfie lovers, there are a huge number of settings and filters.

Results

The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is without a doubt the best smartphone in the world. Last year, Korean engineers produced an excellent and in many ways revolutionary flagship. And this year they took a file and “finished” the device to perfection, most importantly, listening to the criticism of users. In fact, S7 edge is a device that is impossible to find fault with. And one more important change is the price! If last year you had to shell out more than $ 1,000 for the "six", then the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge can be bought for $ 880.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a great modern smartphone, but nothing in it surprises more than the built-in heart rate sensor, which is associated with the proprietary S Health app. The sensor, which is very small and located on the back of the device just below the camera, gives very accurate data on your heart rate level. You can recognize him during a morning run or at any other time. Let's see how to use it!

WHAT IS THE ARTICLE ABOUT?

Actions

1. Open the app overview

  • Do this by clicking "Apps" in the lower right corner of the screen.

2. Launch the "S Health" app

  • In the S Health UI, you should see icons at the top that tell you the pedometer reading, the calories counted, and the calorie intake you've logged into the app. Below you will see some icons that you can interact with.

3. On the main page of the application, click on Heart Rate

  • It's a green icon with a white heart inside.

4. Touch the heart rate sensor under the camera with your finger, it will turn red

Hold it in this position for a few seconds until the data is read. Please note that the first couple of times the smartphone may not read your indicators. The sensor is very sensitive to movements, humidity and other factors. To improve the quality of the reading of the indicator, we recommend that you follow the following tips:

  • Only use the sensor with a dry finger
  • Hold your finger on the sensor for as long as you can. Take your time!
  • Do not Cry! Loud noise can affect sensor performance.
  • If the reading does not occur, try holding your breath. Sometimes it helps.

This is interesting

According to Samsung, the installation of a heart rate sensor is the result of a recent trend of closely monitoring health, and one of the company's ideas is that "Samsung's efforts are aimed at meeting the needs and preferences of people." After explaining the technical details of heart rate measurement, Samsung talks about why they added a heart rate sensor to the smartphone instead of some other interesting feature. “Heart rate is one of the most commonly measured indicators of health. The heart rate sensor allows you to check what mode your heart is working before, during and after training. The flagship and wearable devices are always at hand, which prompted the company to add such a feature to them.

Frankly, I was very surprised when I found out that smartphones can measure the pulse. Moreover, in an interesting way: with the help of a camera and flash illumination, the color of the finger is analyzed. Surprisingly, the results are very accurate. There are a lot of applications that provide such a service, I chose the most popular ones. Perhaps your favorite is not in the text, please feel free to report it in the comments.

The principle of operation is the same everywhere: put your finger on the camera, after a while you get the pulse value. For the sake of verification, you can measure yourself, including after physical activity- the closeness of the obtained values will most likely impress you.

Runtastic Heart Rate (iOS, Android) is perhaps the simplest and least "whimsical".

Measurements must be accompanied by an indication of the conditions after which they were made (normal, after sleep, after training, etc.), statistics are kept.

The only drawback is the lack of a Russian interface language (judging by the reviews on Apple Store, he used to be, but disappeared somewhere).

The Cardiograph app (iOS, Android) will speak to you in your native language. It has perhaps the most fun interface with a chart recorder and a piercing sound that will give your pulse.

Cardiograph also keeps a history of measurements, but does not offer to mark the state in which they were taken. In Android, it didn’t work very well for me, the measurements lasted up to 5 minutes, and sometimes they just didn’t want to end, although outwardly everything went as usual.

The third app I wanted to talk about is Azumio Heart Rate (iOS, Android). It is similar to the Runstatic Heart Rate, not only in the name and the absence of the Russian language. It is poorer in design, but there are even more states for measurements.

Samsung has released a new flagship Galaxy S5 and is often celebrated in commercials important feature– the smartphone received a heart rate monitor, which allows you to expand the capabilities of S Health to work with your health without purchasing additional “smart” accessories. It is also important for Samsung that the sensor turned out to be very compact and it was possible to place it immediately with a built-in flash on the rear panel.

I think if you have already purchased a flagship smartphone, then you tried to check your heart rate using the built-in sensor, or you really think about your health and used the heart rate monitor in your workouts. If you still do not understand or do not yet know how this sensor works, I will explain a little and tell you how to use it.

The heart rate monitor has become an addition to a set of other useful features of the Galaxy S5. I mean a food diary, a pedometer, an exercise log that helps during fitness sessions. But all this, one way or another, makes us use the S Health application. This is what you need to run in order to start the heart rate monitor.

In general, launch S Health and click on the corresponding button at the bottom of the screen. After that, the Galaxy S5 screen will prompt you to place your finger on the heart rate sensor under the camera (see photo below). The tighter you hold your finger on it, the more accurate the result will be. Just do not press hard so as not to harm the gadget. After placing your finger, you need to press the on-screen button to read the pulse. At this time, it is better for you not to make any unnecessary movements so that the result is accurate. After a few seconds, if everything is fine, the Galaxy S5 will show your pulse.

In the meantime, after several tests, we can say that the S5 determines the heart rate quite accurately. That's just you need to strictly follow all the recommendations above. Constant monitoring of the heart rate will allow you to keep statistics of your condition, and S Health can even show you a line chart with changes in your heart rate over time over a certain period.
