The best level 5 tts. American tank destroyer T49

In the World of Tanks game, the most important thing is the tanks. Here are presented real-life combat vehicles, each of which has its own unique history. This is partly why this game is so popular in the world. Every player finds a good tank for himself in World of Tanks and calls it ideal. But in this review we will look at the most attractive cars that are fun to play and fight for the victory of your team.

It is quite difficult to select the 10 best World of Tanks tanks. After all, each car is good in its own way. Some tanks will be very fast, some will be powerful, and some will combine both high speed and power. And what criteria are used to determine the efficiency of the unit? However, each level has its own most successful combat vehicles, which we will try to highlight.

Let us immediately note that we will begin our review of good tanks in World of Tanks right from the fifth level, since below this level frivolous combat vehicles are used. They can hardly be called effective and interesting. In the WOT game, serious battles begin from the fifth level and above.

Level 5

To summarize, there are only 3 best tanks in World of Tanks at level 5. The first of them is the Soviet KV-1 unit. This is a fairly well-known Soviet machine, which had great success on the battlefields against Nazi Germany. This tank has a solid historical component, powerful all-round armor and versatile weapons. All this gave the tank a serious reputation in the game. Almost every older generation gamer considers it their duty to buy this tank and upgrade it to the maximum.

The second best tank in World of Tanks 2017 is also the Soviet T-34. It also has a rich history. It is believed that the T-34 combat vehicles changed the course of the war. In the game, this tank is valued for its high maneuverability, as well as for its 57 mm ZiS-4 gun, which easily penetrates armor but causes little damage. In the WOT game there are two popular development branches for medium and heavy tanks. At the fifth level, gamers have the opportunity to purchase similar combat vehicles.

There is also a cool one, but it’s quite difficult to get. In the game, users call it an “imba,” that is, a machine that is out of balance. Has all-round armor. It can barely be penetrated by a level 5 cannon. Even “sixes” often cannot damage the armor of the KV-220 tank.

Level 5 Bonus

A bonus at the fifth level is the T67 combat vehicle - this is an American anti-tank self-propelled gun with high speed of movement, stealth, low silhouette, and most importantly, high armor penetration. The unit easily destroys tanks of its level with one shot.

Level 6

At the sixth level, the best tanks in World of Tanks are represented by one Soviet and two British combat vehicles. It’s worth starting with the legendary T-34-85, monuments to which are in many Russian cities.

The T-34-85 is a Soviet medium tank that has maneuverability and a good gun that can penetrate tough armor. High accuracy, rate of fire, and maneuverability make the unit popular. His demand is also explained by his rich combat history, but this does not play a role in his fighting qualities, which are at their best. With the right tactics, positioning, and ammo, many experienced players have won victories in this Tier 6 tank against more powerful Tier 8 tanks.

The second good tank in World of Tanks at level 6 is the English Cromwell. The car is good for extras. Unlike the Soviet T-34-85, the British Cromwell has no armor at all, which is why the vehicle has enormous speed and a high-speed gun. All this gives a significant advantage to the player who, without any problems, “shines” enemy tanks for his team.

The third tank of the level is the Sherman Firefly. This combat vehicle has a cool OQF 17-pdr Gun Mk. VII, which allows you to effectively fight even against older tanks of the 8th level.

Level 6 Bonus

The bonus at this level is the Soviet KV-2 tank with very powerful armor and an M-10 152 mm cannon. This vehicle is capable of fighting even with level 10 units, not to mention combat vehicles of its own level. However, getting this tank is quite difficult. Therefore, it is extremely rare in the game, which cannot be said about the T-34-85. This is one of the most popular models, which is in the arsenal of almost every player.

Level 7

According to many gamers, the seventh level of the game is the most balanced. Consequently, it is difficult to single out equipment that would have significant advantages over other combat vehicles.

The first good tank in World of Tanks at level seven is the IS or IS-2. Both cars are almost identical to each other. Therefore, we will add them to this list. The IS is one of the most popular tanks in the game and is quite famous due to its powerful gun, mobility and armored turret. If such a tank of the seventh level finds itself in a battle with equal vehicles and tanks of a lower level, then the allied team has an easy time - the IS always goes straight into battle. And often this ends well. If the IS gets into battle with tanks of a higher level, then shooting from cover is a good tactic that also brings results.

The second unit is the Tiger I. This German heavy tank took part in World War II. It also has a rich history, and in-game its execution is simply amazing. The vehicle has 1500 hit points and is equipped with a Kw.K gun. 43 L/71. Playing on such a tank is pleasant and fun. But if a vehicle gets into battle with tanks of a higher level, then tactics need to be developed as for anti-tank artillery.

The third best vehicle is the T29 heavy tank with powerful armor that sometimes even level 9 vehicles cannot penetrate. Of course, it has its advantages, but there are also weaknesses. A good balance between armor, mobility and damage makes this vehicle almost universal and convenient for use on the battlefield, which explains the popularity of the tank.

Premium tank level 7

At level 7, the best premium tank in World of Tanks is the so-called “Gatling gun”, or “flea” - this is the German E-25 anti-tank self-propelled gun. It's a very small car and hard to get into. It causes a lot of problems for clumsy and “blind” vehicles such as Soviet TT tanks. The E-25 does little damage. However, the rate of fire and accuracy infuriate opponents who fall under the gun of this “flea.” Unfortunately, this car has become so popular that it is no longer even on sale. However, there are no fewer of them on the battlefield, because those players who managed to buy it or win it for completing tasks actively use it to “farm” money.

The seventh level is so rich in cool tanks that the following vehicles are worth highlighting separately:

  1. T-34-1.
  2. Spähpanzer SP I C.
  3. LTTB.
  4. M41 Walker Bulldog.

All these models should also be on this list.

Level 8

At this level, there are already quite serious tanks that take part in company battles, global maps, and fortified areas.

In World of Tanks, the best Tier 8 tank is the IS-3. This vehicle is ideal for all of the above battle modes due to its frontal armor on the turret and hull, high-quality gun, low silhouette and mobility. All this makes such a tank successful on the battlefield.

In second place is the FCM 50t - a very difficult machine to play on which beginners will constantly lose. It is a slow and large tank with no armor that is easy to destroy. However, experienced players set records with this tank again and again. As an analogue, we can offer AMX Chasseur de chars. This car has even weaker armor. However, the camouflage factor of this tank is high, making it difficult to detect. The model also has a very high speed, which is guaranteed by the Maybach HL 295 F engine with 1200 horsepower. Among the best medium tanks in World of Tanks, the AMX Chasseur de chars deserves attention first of all. You just need to know how to play it, and such a machine cannot be recommended for combat to a beginner.

The AMX 50100 is the next best Tier 8 tank and is often found in company battles and fortified areas. Such a combat vehicle is capable of destroying any tank of its class in 1-2 shots and quickly “escaping” from the scene of the crime. This is exactly how most players try to use the machine. The biggest drawback of the tank is its long reload time, lasting 50 seconds. During this time, the tank is “meat” for the enemy. The second weak point is the lack of armor. However, this is typical for many French cars.

Level 8 Bonus

Bonus tanks of the eighth level are the British-made Charioteer tank destroyer and the Japanese medium tank STA 1. These are hidden combat vehicles that are perfectly camouflaged. Therefore, it is appropriate to use them as support for allied tanks that are fighting on the main battlefield.

Level 9

The improved tank VK 45.02 (P) Ausf is an imba (that is, an unbalanced vehicle), which, with its new durable armor, represents one of the best tanks at later levels. The technique perfectly holds back the enemy’s onslaught and can be at the forefront of the attack. However, it is important for her not to “shine.” After all, the sides of the tank are very weak, and a shell hit from the side will be fraught with bad consequences. But mobility partly solves this problem.

The second model is the German medium tank E 50. This is a universal vehicle that can suddenly open up in an unexpected area of the map, coming from behind enemy lines. It can also be used as a heavy tank for frontal attack. Thanks to high mobility and a powerful, accurate gun, playing the “epis” (as this model is called by players) is a lot of fun. This machine gives the player many options for combat, and he himself decides which tactics to choose. This opens up great opportunities for an experienced gamer, but even a beginner will find it quite pleasant to drive this tank. However, if a player has reached level 9, then he can hardly be called a beginner.

M103 is the third best heavy tank of tier 9. This American example has high armor at the front, which can withstand hits from large calibers. Therefore, it is appropriate to use it in battle as the main penetrating force. And if the map allows, then due to its good mobility the tank allows you to play “cat and mouse” with enemies.

Level 9 Bonus

The bonus vehicle at level 9 is the Soviet medium tank T-54. The developers deteriorated this vehicle several times, reducing the thickness of the hull armor. However, this tank is still very popular and a worthy contender for the title of best. High speed, low silhouette and mobility - these are the advantages of the machine.

Level 10

At the last, 10th, level there are the best tanks, which are to some extent the result of the technical development of each nation. All cars of this level have their own “chips” and have good characteristics. Naturally, there are even imbats such as ART-SAU, PT 10 and Waffenträger auf which must be replaced.

In general, it is almost impossible to single out the best World of Tanks tier 10 tank. After all, we are always talking about extremes. There are huge “cast iron walls” that are difficult to break through, there are powerful drum heavy vehicles, as well as diverse medium tanks. Consequently, the player will have to make a choice and determine for himself which tank is better in World of Tanks. After all, the excellent balancing of the game does not allow us to identify the best car, which would be superior to others in all (or at least half) of the parameters. Therefore, among the “dozens” it is impossible to single out just one tank.

Conclusion

Each player determines the best combat vehicle for himself to the best of his abilities and playing style. Some people like to butt heads with heavy tanks, while others prefer to quickly move around the map in order to find targets for their team. The developers very carefully worked out the characteristics of all combat vehicles in the game and eliminated situations where most players choose the same unit, forgetting about the others.

World of Tanks players feel the need for in-game credits—the so-called “silver”—literally from their first battles. If the purchase and operation of entry-level tanks is relatively cheap, then even for a fourth-tier vehicle, not to mention older ones, you have to save up. In addition, you need additional equipment, consumables, premium shells... But where can you get the much-needed silver?

Of course, you can buy a premium account and a couple of premium tier 8 tanks with an increased profitability ratio. This will make it much easier to earn silver, but it will cost a pretty penny - the prices in the game from Wargaming are not cheap at all. There is a second way - to earn silver, that is, “”, by pumping up tanks.

Farm is a game with the goal of earning game currency, that is, credits. This means you need to choose a tank that will farm as much as possible and spend as little as possible (repairs, shells, consumables, etc.). Of course, there are no special tanks, everyone farms almost the same way, but you need to decide on your favorite type of vehicle. Some people like to play on TT, others on PT, and some on CT, etc...

The WoT economy is built in such a way that the easiest way to do this is on level 5 and 6 machines. They have the highest average battle profitability rates, unless, of course, you constantly use gold ammunition and consumables. Purely from subjective feelings, farming silver on tier 5 vehicles is still a little easier than on tier 6 tanks. But there are dozens of level 5 combat vehicles in the game, it’s amazing! Let's choose top five tanks, the most suitable for earning silver without additional financial investments.

1. O-I Experimental (Japan, heavy tank)

Number one on our list is the Japanese Tier 5 heavy tank O-I Experimental. Why him? It's quite simple. Over the past month, the average win percentage on it was 51,03% , which is the best indicator (!) among level 5 pumped equipment. More victories - more silver, the relationship is extremely simple.

It's worth noting that O-I Experimental is really good. Yes, in patch 0.9.15 he was nerfed, increasing the time for aiming and reloading guns, but this does not stop him remain one of the most formidable cars on the level. The armor of the tank is rather weak, the hull and turret are only 75 mm thick in the strongest places, but the Japanese are not famous for their defense. Its strongest point is the top Tier 6 gun, the 10 cm Cannon Type 14, which has outstanding 300 units damage when armor-piercing with an armor-piercing projectile of 130 mm. At the same time, the tank also has very good mobility for this class.

O-I Experimental travels well, easily penetrates levels 5-6 and is endowed with an excellent HP of 700 units. All together, this allows you to maintain good average damage, which means you can farm, farm, and farm some more. O-I feels great at the top, but does not get lost at the bottom of the list; getting a hefty splash for 300 units of damage does not smile even on the “fattest” level 7 tanks. Well, most of their classmates are sent to the hangar after two hits from the top O-I gun. In general, an excellent tank both for playing and for earning silver.

2. KV-1S (USSR, heavy tank)

The once beloved “kvass” has long been demoted from a heavy tank of the sixth level to the fifth, seriously changing its gaming characteristics. But the KV-1S did not get lost here either; in terms of the average percentage of victories on it, it was located almost immediately behind the O-I Experimental - 50,53% over the past four weeks.

The KV-1S has very balanced armor, propulsion and armament characteristics. At the top of the list, it is capable of deflecting shells quite well, and the top tier 6 gun, the 85 mm S-31, penetrates 119 mm with armor-piercing shells with damage of 160 units and a reload speed of only 5 seconds, excluding additional equipment. So everything is very good with the car.

Very similar to the KV-1S and KV-1, which is a true gaming classic. KV-1 is also quite a worthy candidate for farming. True, its mixing is a little worse, but its armor is a little better.

In general, both the KV-1S and KV-1 are pleasant to play, cause damage and get game credits; the choice between these combat vehicles is purely a matter of taste.

3. T67 (USA, tank destroyer)

Perhaps, T67 is one of the strangest tier 5 tank destroyers and certainly one of the most fun in the game. Very fast and invisible, it has a rotating turret, which compares favorably with most anti-tank self-propelled artillery units in the game.

T67

She doesn't have any armor, but she doesn't need it. The main advantages of this machine are: speed, stealth and excellent DPM. It's no joke, the base amount of damage per minute for the T67 is 2156 units, and if you add the appropriate equipment and perks, it reaches absolutely fantastic heights. The damage of only 115 units per shot is more than compensated by the rate of fire and armor penetration of 128 millimeters.

T67 almost never suffers. At the top of the list, this vehicle, when used correctly, is capable of single-handedly deciding the outcome of battles; at the bottom, it can create a lot of problems even for powerful Tier 7 tanks. Indeed, in WoT there are very few vehicles that can be put to good use in any battle; the T67 is just one of them. And the more victories and damage, the more silver falls into the players’ wallets.

4. T-34 (USSR, medium tank)

Every player who came to the world of World of Tanks probably had the legendary “thirty-four”. Of course, everyone wanted to play on the famous car that fought so famously in the Second World War.

But the T-34 is not only a symbol, but also excellent tank for farming silver. Possessing good performance and good armor for its class, the “thirty-four” is also equipped with a completely crazy weapon.

T-34

The ZiS-4 57 mm cannon fires 26.09 rounds per minute without taking into account additional equipment and perks. And this 2218 units exactly in a minute! IS7 can be sawed apart, if, of course, it gets in the way of this monster. Armor penetration is 112 mm with an armor-piercing projectile and as much as 189 mm with a sub-caliber projectile. So for the T-34 there are no impenetrable targets; for most, armor-piercing shells are enough, but if necessary, you can safely shoot heavy tanks of the 6th and 7th level head-on.

In fact, the ZiS-4 is an endless drum that shoots once every two seconds and knocks out 85 points of damage from the opponent. A little, but no more is needed. In general, the T-34 drives well, hits some things and shoots excellently, which allows you to seriously influence the course of battles and consistently farm much-needed silver.

5. AMX ELC bis (France, light tank)

Not everyone likes the light tank class, as it is quite difficult to master. But AMX ELC bis, or “Christmas tree” in common parlance, has long fallen in love with hundreds of thousands of players.

This light tank has the speed of a Formula 1 car, a very low silhouette that makes it very difficult to hit, and to top it off, a wonderful top-end gun, the D. 915, which fires 240 points damage when penetrated by an armor-piercing projectile is 170 mm, and by a sub-caliber projectile - 248 mm.

Maximum speed in 65 km/h, which the “Christmas tree” picks up quite easily, allows you to play . On top of that, she also has excellent camouflage. An AMX ELC standing in a bush and pulling out a camouflage net can only be seen at point-blank range, while allies will deal damage when it is illuminated and thereby help the player earn silver.

If the game situation allows, you can shoot, because 240 units of average damage is an indicator of many tier 8 tanks, with which the “Christmas tree”, by the way, will often intersect.
“Yolka” drives, shines, shoots and, as a result, farms. True, you need to play it very carefully, there is no armor or strength points here. But in the hands of skilled players, AMX ELC allows you to create real miracles, which are generously rewarded with in-game silver.

Of course, you can consistently gain profit on almost all tier 5 combat vehicles, but farming on the above-mentioned tanks will be not only effective, but also enjoyable. Less suffering - more silver and fun!

Is it possible to farm on LT or Art?

As for the other types of tanks (LT and Arta), it is difficult to identify the best ones. Some tanks are better, some are worse, and besides, artillery and tanks are the hardest to farm, because... Thanks to the light, they give few credits, and it’s hard to damage the art. Of course, the five listed above may be different for you, it all depends on your playing style. But remember, when choosing your best farmer, always count on high damage, as well as damage from your help (by lighting up, shooting down gulsi).

That's all, good luck on the battlefields.

Each of the game levels in World of Tanks is interesting in its own way. Each of them has its own atmosphere, its own leaders and its own favorites. But I decided to start talking about level 5 for a reason. It so happens that this level is liked by many players (mostly beginners, but not only), which can already serve as a reason for an article. But there is also a second reason - at the moment the game is offering discounts on all 5 levels until December 15 inclusive. Isn't this a reason to talk about them and get players interested in buying them?

I would like to note right away that this list of interesting Tier 5 vehicles will include both generally recognized imbas and simply interesting vehicles with author's taste. This disclaimer is made to avoid misunderstandings. Now that we’ve prepared and made a reservation, let’s move on to the list of the most interesting Tier 5 cars.

T-34

The Soviet T-34 is a legendary tank, both during the Second World War and in our game. He gained fame from players not only because of his origin, but also because of his strong performance characteristics. Excellent mobility and maximum speed, ricochet armor, an excellent weapon with simply enormous damage per minute and remarkable penetration. And in terms of safety margin, everything is in order. It’s no wonder that a tank with such a set of performance characteristics is one of the best medium tanks, and indeed of all equipment at this level.

There is no point in describing the Type T-34, because it is a Chinese copy of the Soviet version of the T-34 and their differences are extremely minimal (in fact, they can be considered the same tank). I recommend any of the versions, both the original and a copy, for purchase and testing. The T-34 is very strong and will allow you to be a decisive force in battles, sometimes even at the very bottom of the list.

KV-1

As for me, if the first of the Soviet tanks at level 5 is the T-34, then the second is definitely the KV-1. The KV-1 is also a famous tank both in wartime and on the battlefields of the game. He is a favorite of many players, especially beginners. The KV-1 has strong armor, which allows it to tank not only classmates, but also periodically tanks of higher levels. What can we say then that at its level and with tanks below the KV-1 it often fights effortlessly and causes a lot of damage. Of course, the tank has vulnerabilities in the armor in any projection, but it still allows you to make mistakes without paying for them. The KV-1 also has a gun with high damage and good damage, which allows you not only to hold back the enemy, but also to advance.

The KV-1 is one of the strongest tanks at its level. Yes, there are certain disadvantages in the form of poor visibility and not the best dynamics, but the advantages in most cases not only compensate, but often outweigh the disadvantages. If you are new to World of Tanks or a lover of armored vehicles, I highly recommend the KV-1 for purchase. Plus, like many level 5 players, he farms silver well even without using a premium account.

Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H

Like many medium tanks that have a special high-explosive weapon, the Pz. IV H. experienced such an event as the nerf of cumulative shells, and high-explosive weapons in general. Previously, many patches and years ago, high explosive weapons overwhelmingly dominated their level. There were good reasons for this - high damage from HE shells, even without penetration, and penetrating cumulative shells, which, moreover, were not “devoured” by the screens and easily penetrated them. There were no tracks or anything like that, the cumulative shells went into the tank like a knife through butter. But time has passed, cumulative weapons have weakened greatly, and landmines were also either reworked/changed in penetration and alpha, or cut down in some other way. But this does not mean that Pz. IV H became a weak tank. It still has good mobility, not cardboard armor on the forehead, which allows you to tank many high-explosive weapons without taking full damage. Not very much, but the screens on the turret help, and the recently added screens on the sides of the hull help quite well, especially against landmines and cumulative shells. The tank has two guns to choose from, and with the nerf of the 105mm high-explosive gun, another, 75mm gun, began to be used more often, but the choice is purely individual. A 105mm cannon is a powerful high-explosive weapon that allows you to inflict damage with a HE shell without even penetrating a tank, and cumulative bullets make it possible to knock out huge numbers of strength from the enemy (this is not true for everyone, because after the nerf, cumulative bullets have significantly decreased in penetration).

The second 75mm cannon is an ordinary “rapid fire” gun - good penetration on the AP and average penetration on the BP, the damage is also average. Essentially, this weapon is for those who want maximum stable play, without surprises.

Even the tank's disadvantages, such as the guns' lack of accuracy and penetration and the tank's mediocre armor as a whole, do not make it weak. Pz. IV H is still good and strong on the battlefield, just a little more difficult to play. The tank is quite unique and not for everyone, but it’s definitely worth a try.

M24 Chaffee

This light tank, which had been at level 5 throughout the history of the game, underwent dramatic changes in one of the patches and became what it is at the moment. Currently, the M24 Chaffee is the fastest and most visible light tank at its level (77 km/h and 390 m, respectively). The safety factor is also high for its size and amounts to 440 HP.

Yes, there are also negative aspects in the form of a weapon that is not the most penetrating, I would say even a weakly penetrating weapon and a small ammo capacity for it. But still, the main characteristics that a light tank should have in the M24 Chaffee are at the highest level. It’s stupid to say that playing the LT is a simple task, but among all the variety of this type of technique, “Chaffik” is quite easy to use and very effective even at the very bottom of the list. If playing light tanks is too difficult for you or you don’t like it, then there is no point in buying the M24 Chaffee, but I highly recommend it to everyone else.

M7

There is a decent-sized category of tanks in the game, which combine the features of several types at once, are intermediate or even tanks “in a different skin.” The American M7 medium tank is one of them. In terms of the weight and gun of the tank, it is quite average, but in terms of other characteristics I would like to call it light. Excellent mobility, almost 20 horses per ton and a high maximum speed of 60 km/h forward and 20 km back are more prone to the performance characteristics of a light tank. And the armor says the same thing, because it is quite weak and only protects against level 3 machine guns.

The M7 cannot play a classic medium tank, and certainly positional play is not for it (commonly due to weak armor and mediocre gun stabilization). But the LT style is much more effective, because for this we have both speed and good camouflage (the tank is low in silhouette, but of course the problem is that it is not an LT, which means there is no bonus to camouflage), as well as suitable weapons, very rapid-fire and “biting”, but also penetrating, especially with gold shells.

The M7 is definitely not for everyone, but it has a trick. I advise fairly skilled players to buy it, especially fans of fast vehicles (including LTs).

T67

“Imba” is the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to the T67 Tier 5 tank destroyer. Unfortunately (that's right, "unfortunately"), this is so. This tank has simply excellent mobility with one of the best power-to-weight ratios in the game, and the maximum speed back and forth is at the level of a light tank. The T67 also impresses with its stealth. Even a firing T67 is very difficult to detect. And while you don’t see him, he will dismantle you at lightning speed due to his extremely powerful weapon. Good penetration on the AP (although one of the weakest on the level), almost instantaneous reduction, and an incredibly high rate of fire. The tank's damage per minute is simply overwhelming (more than 2000 damage per minute at level 5!). So, among other things, this tank has a full rotation turret, which sometimes allows you to play very aggressively, spin opponents without a turret (mainly tank tanks and self-propelled guns), and also not move the tank’s body when playing from the bushes. The last plus makes it possible to maintain the tank's camouflage while standing, and also not to reset the bonus from the camouflage net.

Among the shortcomings of the tank, I would like to note the terrible armor, which can be penetrated by land mines with full damage (starting with a 75mm caliber without problems), as well as the small ammunition load, which, with such intensity of fire, can quickly lead to its devastation. However, these disadvantages in no way compensate for the advantages of the T67 and do not make it balanced. The tank is too strong, and in my opinion should be nerfed. But if you don't care about this aspect or just want to feel more power on the battlefield, then the T67 is simply a clear choice for you.

AMX ELC Bis

The so-called “Yolka” is one of the most popular and fun tanks at its level. The high maximum speed and simply huge specific power, one of the best in the game (37 horses per ton without modules), contribute to the popularity of the tank. The advantages also include the extremely small size and the presence of a tower. Due to its size, the AMX ELC Bis can derive two benefits - excellent passive illumination (with a pumped-up camouflage and camouflage network, you will only see the Yolka from an X-ray distance) and very active reconnaissance (due to its small dimensions it is very difficult to get into it).

The tank's gun is surprising; for such a small mass and the same size, the gun is very powerful. A 90mm gun causes a lot of damage and has strong penetration, especially on gold (almost 250mm). That is, even at the very bottom of the list, “Yolka” is capable of not only shining, but also causing damage.

The negative aspects of the tank I would include the terrible stabilization of this gun, very poor damage per minute, as well as the turret. There is a tower, but the rotation sector is incomplete and very small. Also, due to its size, this light tank has a very dense arrangement of modules, which greatly affects its critability. Another not-so-obvious disadvantage is that there are only two crew members in the tank, which means that the incapacitation of any of them greatly affects subsequent effectiveness on the battlefield. Also, the visibility is not the strongest (only 360m, which is not enough for a light vehicle of this level).

But despite its shortcomings, AMX ELC Bis wins the hearts of many players. The advantages of the tank allow you to play the role of both a thoughtful and careful LT-water, and a perky, merry fellow rushing headlong across the battlefield. The tank is perfect for playing for fun. Even though it’s a LT, I recommend it to absolutely everyone, even beginners, to purchase it for their hangar (Yolka is a good place to gain experience in playing light tanks correctly).

O-I Experimental

This Japanese heavy tank turns out to be the last on my list of the most interesting tanks at tier 5. Quite often, the introduction of a new technique “breaks” the random battle mode. Not everyone is ready for the emergence of new technology, especially a new type. This was the case with the advent of Japanese TTs. If tanks up to level 5 are nothing special, then from level 5 and above their influence on the battle is quite decent. O-I Exp. not just a heavy tank, it is a World of Tanks mastodon in terms of size and weight. The tank has a huge mass of 100 tons (!!!), as well as very large dimensions, the largest at its level at least. The advantages include surprisingly (for such a mass) fairly good mobility with a maximum speed of as much as 40 km/h and not the worst specific power of 12 horses per ton. The visibility of 360 meters, as for a TT, is very good. Surprisingly, with such a mass, the tank has rather mediocre armor. Often even our classmates penetrate us without any problems, and non-penetration or ricochets mainly pass through the VLD zone, where the armor is located at a strong angle.

The top 100mm gun is very powerful, both in terms of damage per minute and one-time damage (as much as 300 units of damage per shot). Such damage is in most cases 2/3 or half of the total strength of any of the enemy tanks (we are talking about classmates, that is, about level 5 vehicles). Such huge numbers make other tanks very afraid of this heavy tank.

But there are no pros without cons. The weapon is very powerful, but has poor stabilization and aiming, penetration on gold is also not great, which makes the fight against tanks of higher levels very problematic. There is armor, but as already described above, it is not that good, the problem is mainly due to the lack of slope of the armor almost throughout the entire tank. The tank is lively, but not the most agile, which allows you to wind it up without any problems. The huge size tells us about monstrously poor camouflage and frequent suffering from artillery. In addition to spinning, short enemies can simply rub against the tank and cause damage to it, because the tank is very high and the gun simply will not go down too low on the side.

Despite the tank's unpleasant aspects, it is very strong. And the feeling when such huge amounts of damage hits the enemy is simply indescribable. A tank can resist and be dangerous even alone, but it is especially strong when supported by at least a small number of allies. The tank’s peculiar advantages and disadvantages make it a “black sheep” compared to many heavy tanks of its level. Whether this is good or bad is up to you to decide. But no one forbids you to ride it and form your own opinion, and what’s more, I recommend it.

That's the whole list of tanks that, in my opinion, are the most interesting at level 5. But I want to note that this does not mean that there is nothing interesting among other equipment. I described both generally recognized strong tanks and those that were simply interesting to me.

Therefore, you may well disagree with my top tanks and create your own, which I will also be happy about.

Despite constant balance changes, World of tanks still has tanks that are more interesting to play on, and which allow you to greater influence the outcome of the battle or even fight for victory, remaining alone against several enemies.

    • Thick frontal armor
    • Ricochet silhouette
  • Good mobility
    • High top speed
    • Fast acceleration
    • Excellent maneuverability

    • Good disguise
    • Great review

Of course, fulfilling all the conditions at the same time is impossible; there may be a tank, but it will have too weak weapons, which will not allow it to become the best. However, the presence of several positive qualities will indicate that we have a worthy fighting vehicle.

So, let's begin our review of the best tanks in WoT.

The best first tier tanks in World of tanks

Among tanks of the first level it is difficult to select favorites, but at high ranks you can distinguish excellent vehicles such as the IS-3, T-54, T-29 and others, but first things first.

Among the players in the battles of the first levels, players on vehicles with pumped-up crews who have been playing on tanks of the first level for a long time can stand out; for example, there are quite a few such players on a Soviet tank MS-1.

The best second tier tanks in World of tanks

At the second level, anti-tank and artillery self-propelled guns become available to players, and among them there are vehicles that differ from others for the better. This American tank destroyer T-18 with a well-protected forehead, which most second-tier tanks cannot penetrate; in addition, the T-18 has good mobility and a good top-end gun.

    Self-propelled gun T-18

    • ✔ High precision weapon
    • ✔ Thick frontal armor

The best tanks of the third level in Wot

Among the tanks of the third level, it is worth noting the Soviet premium T-127. This tank is well protected from the front by sloping armor, has a good gun, and good mobility. Excellent armor allows you to fight alone against several enemies.

American Tank destroyer T82- an excellent third-tier combat vehicle, it boasts high one-time damage, good dynamics and maneuverability, and excellent visibility.

The best tanks of the fourth level in World of tanks

At the fourth level there are several cars that you will always be glad to see in your team.

    British Matilda tank

This combat vehicle is protected better than heavy tanks of the fourth level. Being at the top Matilda capable of deciding the outcome of a battle, even remaining against several enemies. Of course, you have to pay for good armor with poor mobility. When getting into battles with opponents of the fifth and sixth levels, Matilda is not so good, but can still be useful due to a good top weapon.

    Hetzer anti-tank self-propelled gun

The German tank destroyer is a nightmare for many fourth-tier tanks, because they cannot penetrate this vehicle head-on, while the Hetzer easily destroys them with one or two shots. Playing against senior level opponents for armor Self-propelled gun Hetzer you can’t count on it, but this machine will still be able to hit enemies from ambushes.

The best tanks of the fifth level in World of tanks

Among the cars of the fifth level we can distinguish Soviet heavy tank KV-1. Which, with proper play, remains impenetrable for many same-level opponents. The poor mobility of the KV-1 tank requires careful selection of the direction of attack, because returning across half the map in order to break the capture will not work. Among the advantages of the KV-1 tank, one can note the availability of several good guns - the rapid-fire Project 413, the universal F-30 85mm, and the high-explosive U-11 122mm.

    American tank destroyer T49

An anti-tank self-propelled gun with a turret that allows this vehicle to be used, including as a medium or light tank. The T49 self-propelled gun is equipped with an excellent top-end weapon. Good mobility of this T49 tank destroyer sometimes used incorrectly by players, you should not go alone to the enemy base, where the T49 will quickly be destroyed.

    M-24 Chaffee

American Chaffee tank- an excellent firefly, which can also attack enemies with a good, fast-firing weapon. After the introduction of new light tanks, Chaffee’s top gun was taken away, now this one is not so good, but it doesn’t even reach the tenth levels now.

The best tanks of the sixth level in World of tanks

At the sixth level, the KV-1S tank with an excellent D2-5T gun stood out, but it was divided into two combat vehicles - the KV-1 of the fifth level, and the KV-85 of the sixth level, which have not so impressive characteristics. .

    Hellcat in World of tanks

American Hellcat tank destroyer has excellent dynamics and speed. Its top gun is capable of inflicting 240 units of damage, penetrating 160mm. There is practically no armor on the Helket; it is worth noting only the well-protected gun mantlet, which, together with good vertical aiming angles and a movable turret, allows you to shoot from behind hills and shelters without fear of a retaliatory hit.

    FV304 - new generation self-propelled guns

On the sixth level, the favorite of many players is also located self-propelled art. FV304 installation With high mobility and a fast-firing gun, this vehicle shows good results.

    T 34-85 in WoT

According to our readers, the T 34-85 should be included in the list of the best tanks in World of tanks in 2016. Indeed, we undeservedly ignored this combat vehicle. The T 34-85 is a universal fighter, without pronounced weak characteristics and, when used skillfully, can change the outcome of the battle.

The best tanks of the seventh level in Wot

There are quite a few good combat vehicles located on the seventh level, but the American T-29 and the German tank destroyer E-25 are worth special mention.

T-29 - play from the tower

Tank T-29 if used correctly, it can be considered the best heavy tank of its level. A powerful top-end gun, good elevation angles and a thick turret forehead are the best aspects of the American TT to be used.

    American heavy tank T-29

    • ✔ Good weapon
    • ✔ Thick frontal armor

The main thing when playing a T-29 is to hide the weakly protected hull, showing only the turret to the enemy. The T-29 performs well in hilly terrain, when shooting from cover, and can compete with Soviet vehicles (which are good in cities) in battles in urban areas. .

    Unavailable E-25

Premium tank destroyer E-25 has a bonus when balancing teams - it does not fall on level nine tanks. This makes playing on it more comfortable, but it cannot be said that it is unbalanced. The only problem is that the E-25 was removed from sale.

The best tanks of the eighth level in World of tanks

At level eight, one of the most dangerous opponents is German tank destroyer Rheinmetall-Borsig Waffenträger. The low silhouette and excellent top and stock guns make this vehicle one of the best in the game. It is worth noting that for a good game on Rhm. Borsig, it is advisable to place it under the control of an experienced crew with good visibility and camouflage; in addition, you need to choose the right position, because weak armor will not leave you a chance if detected. If you think that the main thing in a combat vehicle is the weapon, then Rhm. Borsig for you.

    Armored KV-4 World of tanks

Our readers consider the KV-4 to be one of the best tier eight tanks. Good armor and a penetrating top gun are excellent qualities for joining the top of the best tanks in WoT.

    Pike nose - IS-3

Soviet IS-3 may not have any outstanding data, but based on the totality of characteristics it deserves to be noted on this list. Good armor, powerful weapon, good mobility. What else is needed for a good tank? The IS-3 has it all.

    Heavy tank IS-3

    • ✔ Good weapon
    • ✔ Durable armor
    • ✔ Ricochet silhouette

The best tanks of the ninth level in World of tanks

Among the machines of the ninth level we can highlight Soviet medium tank T-54, characterized by a low ricochet silhouette, good mobility and a good weapon. T-54 tanks are especially dangerous in a group, so find yourself an assistant in a random battle or play a T-54 in a platoon.

    Medium tank T-54

    • ✔ Good weapon
    • ✔ Ricochet silhouette
    • ✔ Good mobility

    Object 704 - BL-10 carrier

In addition, I would highlight the Soviet PT-SAU Object 704, equipped with the famous BL-10 gun in the game (several years ago this gun was the most powerful among its analogues on tank destroyers and tanks). Also, Object 704 is well protected from the front; its armor plates are located at rational angles, which gives hope for a ricochet or non-penetration. The combination of these characteristics makes it possible to act on the second line of attack, being in the thick of things.

Tank ST-1 at the ninth level

In 2016, our readers consider the Soviet ST-1 to be one of the best at the ninth level. This tank can be equipped with a weapon that is used in WoT on the IS-4. At the ninth level it is very strong, and allows ST-1 to break into the rank of the best.

There are quite a few good Tier 10 vehicles, these are the American T57 Heavy and T110E5, the Soviet T-62A and Object 263, the German JagdPanzer E100 and Waffentrager E-100, the French Bat Chatillon 25t, and the British FV215B. The style of play on these tanks is different and it is difficult to single out the best vehicle.

The best tanks in WoT in 2017 - players' opinions

Many WoT fans named their favorites in the comments. Let's see which tanks we underestimated. Among the best tanks in 2017, players most often named: medium T-34-85 and T-34, heavy ST1, KV2, KV4.

The mentioned tanks are really very good, the T-34 and T-34-85 are universal fighters that have good mobility and a lethal weapon for the ST. They are capable of providing worthy resistance to any enemy, and in skillful hands they become machines for destruction. These Soviet STs have long been valued by players, but in 2017 the situation has not changed.

The Soviet KV-2 has a 152 mm caliber gun, unique for a Tier 6 TT, which makes it a very strong opponent, but only with skillful shooting from a large-caliber gun.

The KV-4 and ST-1 are distinguished by good armor and good armament, which allows them to be included among the best.

We looked at a lot of tanks, many candidates for the list of the best were suggested by our readers, but not all vehicles in WoT are good, there are others that we identified in.

The eighth level of equipment in World of Tanks boasts so many interesting vehicles that not a single top list can stand it. However, the site does not intend to deviate from the “top 5” heading and has selected the most worthy candidates.

    Great and mighty IS-3

One of the most recognizable tanks in the game. Living legend. The dream object of any novice tanker, named after Joseph Stalin himself, is the IS-3. Players affectionately call him “Grandfather,” and opponents at any level fear the mighty BL-9 gun, capable of delivering slaps to even the most armored and heaviest vehicles. With excellent dynamics for a heavy tank, a squat silhouette and strong armor, the IS-3 is one of the best tanks in the game. In skillful hands, “Grandfather” is capable of methodically erasing one enemy after another from the face of the earth, turning the outcome of any battle and delivering incredible pleasure to its owner. Let's move on to the advantages of the machine:

An excellent weapon, the best at its level. Excellent armor penetration allows you to fight on equal terms with X level of equipment, and deal with classmates almost with your eyes closed.

A kind of armor that can save the car in the most incredible situations.

Excellent speed, maneuverability and dynamics. The IS-3 will not allow itself to be “spinned”, it allows you to quickly change direction, and in some situations play the role of a medium tank.

The low silhouette allows you to take advantage of the terrain while hiding the vulnerable parts of the hull behind the folds of the terrain.

    Minuses

High risk of critical damage to the ammunition rack. The disadvantage can be mitigated by upgrading the “Non-contact ammo rack” skill and avoiding the habit of exposing the side to enemy fire.

Poor elevation angles, characteristic of most Soviet vehicles. You won't be able to shoot from behind the hill. But over time, you can get used to it, if you don’t alternate playing on the IS-3 with fighting on American vehicles.

Frequent critical injuries by the driver. One can only feel sorry for this sufferer. Better yet, upgrade the “Jack of all trades” skill so that the commander can successfully replace a shell-shocked driver.

Small visibility of 350 meters, depriving players of the opportunity to shoot at their own light.

    Tactical Tips

The IS-3 is a very versatile and universal tank. So its use is limited, essentially, by the player’s imagination and personal skill. In battle, you can safely try on the role of a classic heavy breakthrough tank or behave like a ST. When you get to the top of the list, it is better to choose standard directions for TT and methodically press on them, using the support of your allies. At the bottom of the list, the IS-3 turns into an effective support for high-level heavies. Covering and being covered by allies, “Grandfather” with his BL-9 is able to help the team almost better than others.

It would take a long time to tell you how to play the IS-3. The main thing is NOT to play it like a tank destroyer. The tank does not tolerate such disrespect for its dignity, and standing in the bushes at the base, you will achieve nothing but mocking ridicule from the team.

Equipment: gun rammer, vertical stabilizer and improved ventilation.

    Strong-headed stubborn T-54 region

The younger brother of the legendary 54, the T-54 Lightweight is a Tier VIII light tank that came to the game with update 0.9.3. A smart scout, capable of standing up for himself in duels with classmates and easily destroying a careless tank destroyer alone. The machine has no obvious disadvantages, has all the characteristics necessary for a comfortable game and rightfully takes its place in our top list.

    Advantages of the T-54 region:

The strongest armor among Tier VIII armored vehicles.

    Excellent dynamics, maneuverability and acceleration.

Good aiming speed of the gun (2.3 seconds).

Large margin of safety (1200 units).

Decent armor penetration with a basic 175 mm projectile.

Good hull rotation and turret rotation speed.

    Excellent rate of fire.

    There are only two disadvantages:

Not the best view at its level - 390 meters.

    High silhouette and large dimensions.

    Tactical Tips

T-54 region is a classic reconnaissance aircraft. His task - to shine, actively or passively - depends on the map and the level of the team. From the very beginning of the battle, you need to take advantageous positions and try to detect the movement of the main enemy forces. A good LT player always monitors the minimap and has 2-3 escape options. There is no need to fly forward with a saber drawn: a T-54 region destroyed at the beginning of the battle will only benefit the enemy team.

The second half of the battle most often becomes decisive. The task of the owner of the T-54 region is to be in the right place at the right time and help the allies in destroying enemy equipment. In open space, the tank feels much more comfortable than in city streets or corridor directions on maps.

Equipment: coated optics, improved ventilation, gun rammer/vertical stabilizer.

    Teutonic Ninja – Rhm.-Borsig Waffentrager

A secretive killer with a magnificent weapon, excellent camouflage and a complete lack of armor, a full-fledged member of the “We live in the bushes” sect, the German tank destroyer, Rhm.-Borsig Waffentrager could not help but make it onto our list. Covered with pieces of cardboard instead of armor, “Borshchik,” as the tankers affectionately nicknamed him, takes on a well-thought-out strategy and a competent choice of positions. Playing on the third line, as a support and sniper, is a priority. “Borscht” simply has no other roles: any light turns into a world of pain, and a barrage of enemy fire falls on the head of the detected vehicle. Rhm.-Borsig Waffentrager owners are not liked. Moreover, they are hated and feared. But so much the better for you and your team, right? Let's talk about the advantages of the car and its disadvantages.

    Pros:

Low profile and one of the best camouflage ratios on the level.

Excellent choice of weapons: a powerful cannon with the highest one-time damage and an accurate, balanced railgun with excellent accuracy and fast aiming.

    High maneuverability.

    Minuses:

    Weak engine.

One of the worst armor in the game.

    Small elevation angles.

    High level of fighting.

    Tactical Tips

“Borshchik” is a machine with pronounced advantages and disadvantages. You need to play it extremely carefully. Remember your most careful play on the predecessor tank destroyer and multiply it three times. The Rhm.-Borsig Waffentrager should always be either behind cover or in bushes that camouflage it. The combat tactics on it are very simple: hide, wait and shoot. Or drive out from behind cover, shoot and hide. By following these two rules, a Borscht player will be able to inflict a lot of damage. imbalance advises choosing the K44/L55 gun with a caliber of 128 millimeters. It is much easier to use without spending credits on “gold” shells.

Equipment: gun rammer, reinforced aiming drives and coated optics/stereo tube.

    American station wagon – T32

If the previous vehicle on the list has distinct advantages and disadvantages, then the American T32 heavy tank is the center of balance. A strong middle peasant, capable of more. This is exactly how one can characterize the creation of the thoughts of American designers. The incredibly strong turret and vertical aiming angles characteristic of all “Americans” predetermine the game on this vehicle, making all kinds of shelters and folds of the terrain a real salvation for the T32. Hiding behind a hill and putting up its impenetrable tower, the TT is able to stop attacks from opponents that outnumber the number of allies on the flank. Methodical and calm play from cover and a strong tower is an ideal environment for the “thirty-two”, in which the tank feels like a fish in water.

    Advantages:

    Great review.

Good hull armor with rational angles of inclination.

Excellent armor in the front of the turret.

    Excellent vertical aiming angles.

Good rate of fire (1524 damage per minute).

    Minuses:

Weakly protected sides and stern of the hull.

Not the best weapon at the level: penetration and average one-time damage leave much to be desired.

    Tactical Tips

T32 is good because it is very easy to use. First of all, you need to choose a direction. The tank has the necessary set of qualities that allow it to both defend and actively attack. It is worth giving preference to places on the map where you can hide your body and show your enemies your impenetrable forehead. Considering the poor penetration rate of a conventional projectile, you will have to load more “gold” supplies into the ammunition load. However, the tactics on the T32 are simple and effective: find cover, hide the hull and shoot your opponents from the turret.

Nimble and dangerous – Spahpanzer Ru 251

Spahpanzer Ru 251 or simply “Rushka” is the pinnacle of the German line of light tanks. The vehicle copes well with its main task, reconnaissance. Solid visibility, low silhouette and the highest top speed in the game. Passive or active reconnaissance, an excellent high-damage weapon and incredible high-explosive shells make this tank one of the best tanks in the game. Let's move on to the pros and cons of the car.

    Advantages:

    Huge maximum speed – 80 km/h.

    Excellent dynamics and turning speed.

Excellent penetration for a Tier VIII tank of 190 units.

    Good visibility (400 meters).

Decent stabilization when shooting on the move.

An impressive safety margin of 1200 units.

    Minuses:

    No armor.

Hits from land mines practically guarantee critical damage and concussion of the crew.

Ramming is contraindicated: its light weight and “cardboard-like” appearance make the Ru-251 a victim in a collision with almost any car.

    Tactical Tips

The Ru-251 can do everything on the field that a light tank can do and even more. It makes sense to carry all three types of shells on it, since land mines, when penetrating 102 units, have a one-time damage of 320. That is, land mines can be fired at vulnerable points and at weakly armored tanks.

What to do on the battlefield? Move. Speed is the main advantage of the Rushka and it must be used. But moving around the map should not be chaotic and meaningless. The tank requires careful play. By the middle of the battle, Ru-251 turns from a firefly into a lone hunter. But you should never forget that the best tactics on a light tank are tactics based on circumstances. The main thing is to always have an escape route.

This concludes our hit parade. Ahead are the top lists for Tier IX and X vehicles, where you most likely won’t be able to get away with five tanks. Good luck in your battles!
