Who took the exam early? Personal experience: how did the early Unified State Exam in mathematics go? Unexpected changes in the Unified State Exam KIM

There are situations in life when it is precisely on these dates that you just can’t come to the exam. And then what? Lose a year and wait for next year? Not necessary. Passing the Unified State Exam (as well as any other important exams) takes place in 2 stages:

  • Main stage (held at the end of the academic year, at the end of May-June);
  • Early stage (held in the spring, in March-April).

Moreover: some students can choose when to take it. But in order to understand whether you need it or not, let’s figure out who these students are, as well as the main pros and cons of taking the exam early.

Who can take the early Unified State Examination?

Persons of the following categories are allowed to pass early:

  • those who, by the time of passing, have fully mastered the school curriculum - graduates of schools of previous years, technical schools, lyceums, colleges and schools;
  • 11th grade evening school students who are expected to perform military service;
  • school graduates who are preparing to move for permanent residence to another country;
  • schoolchildren who take part in international or all-Russian olympiads or competitions, the date of which coincides with the main stage of the Unified State Exam;
  • schoolchildren who, at the time of the main stage of the Unified State Exam, will be in sanatoriums or other medical institutions to undergo treatment, health or rehabilitation programs;
  • graduating students who are outside the country and cannot return due to difficult climatic conditions.

What does early Unified State Examination 2017 mean: advantages

So, you don’t know how to pass the Unified State Exam early in 2019? It is enough to simply write an application addressed to the school director indicating the reason why you may be allowed to do this.

But is it true that the early Unified State Examination is easier than the one held during the main exam period? Well, it definitely has certain advantages, but certainly not in the ease of the exam itself, but in this:

  1. Graduates are less nervous due to fewer people. For comparison: last year, more than 700,000 students took the exam during the main stage, but only 26,000 young people came ahead of schedule to take the exam. Agree, in such almost friendly company you feel much more confident, which means you will be less nervous.
  2. Less hustle, bustle and clearer organization. Due to the fact that far fewer students take the early exam, its structure is clearer and more organized. You don’t have to be afraid that you won’t have enough form or that there won’t be a clock in the classroom.
  3. Optimal weather conditions. The weather in early to mid-spring is more predictable. At this time, you don’t have to be afraid of heat, stuffiness, or the negative effects of direct sunlight. So, in any case, taking the Unified State Exam early takes place in more comfortable conditions.
  4. Fast verification speed. You will learn about how you wrote the early version of the Unified State Exam 2019 (in chemistry, Russian, mathematics or another subject) much earlier, since the load on observers and inspectors is much lower. Of course, you shouldn't expect results the next day. To find out the results of the Unified State Exam, you will have to wait 7-9 days. Approximately 2-3 days before the deadline for announcing the results, you can already monitor your results. For comparison: those who take the Unified State Exam during the main period have to live with a wait of about two weeks. This is what the early version of the Unified State Examination means!
  5. Additional time to think through your admission strategy. As soon as you manage to find out the results of the early Unified State Exam 2019, you have additional weeks and even months to analyze your situation in detail and think about where to submit your documents. During this time, you can go to different universities for open days, prepare for internal exams of the chosen university, and even change your mind about your chosen direction. And, of course, devote yourself to rest, gaining strength and relaxation before a difficult academic year, if you still manage to enroll.

Taking the Unified State Exam early: disadvantages

Not everything is as simple as everything in our life. Let's look at the disadvantages that early passing of the Unified State Exam promises us:

  1. Less time to prepare. While others will have another 2 months to prepare for the Unified State Exam and study with tutors, you will have to take the exam early. This is also bad because some of the topics included in the exam are covered by schoolchildren during the last months of their studies. If you decide to take an early exam, you will have to prepare and understand the topic yourself.
  2. You become a guinea pig for all changes that have not yet been introduced.. If the organizers decide to introduce any innovations, you will be the first on whom they will test them so that the main period goes perfectly.
  3. Remoteness of the place for delivery. Since the number of applicants for early examination is significantly lower than the main flow of applicants, the number of places where exams will be taken is also significantly lower. For example, during the main period you will be able to take the exam in your main area of residence or study. If you live in a remote area, then places where it will be difficult to get to may be chosen for the delivery location.

In general, now you see the difference between the main and early stages of passing the Unified State Exam. Each has its pros and cons, and you need to choose what is closest to your spirit. And in order to ease your hard lot, we offer you future assistance from student services in the main types of student work that complicate the learning process (tests, essays, coursework, dissertations).

The order of the Ministry of Education and Science on approval of the Unified State Exam schedule for the current academic year is published in November - maximum in the first ten days of January. The procedure for conducting the Unified State Exam includes three stages: main, early and additional. The dates for each of them are established annually by order of the Ministry of Education.

Early and main stage dates

Typically, the early testing period starts on March 21 and ends on April 10-11. The first exam of the main stage is held around May 27-28, the rest dates are in June. Current data can be found on the official GIA information support website (ege.edu.ru).

The Unified State Exam schedule provides for reserve days for passing all subjects.

Early completion of the Unified State Exam

The following are allowed for early testing in all disciplines of the Unified State Exam:

  1. Persons who graduated from school in previous years (up to 2013 inclusive) and wish to enter universities.
  2. Graduates who have completed the curriculum in full (without academic debt) and successfully passed the final essay, but who, for good reasons (including relocation, sports competitions, etc.) will not be able to participate in the main stage of the Unified State Exam.
  3. Persons who previously graduated from school with a certificate.

The conditions and rules for conducting the Unified State Exam during the early period do not differ from those established for the main stage.

Innovations in the schedule

After the introduction of the Unified State Exam, a number of improvements appeared in the schedule aimed at optimizing the conduct of exams:

  1. Mathematics was divided into two levels - basic and specialized, and a separate day was allocated for each of them.
  2. Graduates who failed the Unified State Exam in compulsory subjects (Russian and mathematics) were given the opportunity to retake the exams in September.
  3. Statistics of university entrance campaigns have revealed that about a third of applicants take social studies. In view of this, they decided to modify the Unified State Exam schedule, and a separate day was allocated for the exam in this discipline.

Two years ago, in Moscow schools, a trial Unified State Examination in mathematics was conducted experimentally for 10th grade students. Positive marks received on the training test were counted as passing marks for obtaining a certificate of secondary education. Negative grades could be retaken the following year.

Reserve days in the schedule

For graduates who, for some reason, were unable to pass the Unified State Exam at the appointed time, special reserve days are allocated in the schedule. Schoolchildren can take advantage of the right to take the exam on additional dates if:

  1. Subjects were selected for which the test days coincide.
  2. The student did not appear for the exam or was unable to complete the testing begun for a valid reason.
  3. The graduate did not pass one of the required disciplines.

Failure to appear due to illness is considered a valid reason. In this case, the eleventh grader is required to provide a certificate to the educational institution where he was registered. Next, the school submits the documents to the examination committee, which sets a new test date based on the Unified State Exam schedule.

Applications for early passing of the Unified State Exam in 2017 were accepted until February 1 (inclusive), and schoolchildren and graduates of previous years passed the first exam on March 23. This is two months earlier than the main stage. In order not to be late next year, the site talks about the deadlines, required documents and ways to obtain USE results.

Why before others?

Most often, graduates of previous years take the Unified State Exam early. They need an exam to enter a university. Currently, all Russian higher education institutions, when enrolling, are asked to provide Unified State Examination results, which are considered valid for four years following the year of passing the exam. In order to become one of those lucky ones who take exams earlier than others and enjoy the results a couple of months earlier, it is enough not to miss the application deadlines and collect all the necessary documents. But first things first.

I want to be one of the first! Can?

In order for everyone to take the exam, it was divided into three stages: early, main and additional.

Early delivery is designed mainly for graduates of previous years - those who want to improve their Unified State Exam results or those who graduated from school before the introduction of the Unified State Exam. This year's graduates can also take the exams ahead of schedule, but to do this, the school's pedagogical council must grant permission. You can get it if you have no academic debt and complete completion of the curriculum.

During the additional examination period from September 5 to 16, graduates who failed to score the minimum required points, that is, cross the threshold, in May - June can take the Unified State Exam in mathematics (basic level) or Russian language.

The main requirement that must not be forgotten is that the exam is taken once a year. The exception is current year graduates who have not passed the Unified State Exam in Russian language and mathematics (basic level). If you do not achieve the minimum scores in one of these subjects, you can retake it in an additional period. In the remaining subjects, if you fail, you will be able to try your hand only next year.

The main thing is not to forget your passport

To pass early, schoolchildren submit an application to participate in the Unified State Exam to their school. Graduates of previous years must submit an application to participate in the Unified State Exam at the offices of the Moscow Regional Information Processing Center (RTSC). Documents you will need are a passport and an original education document.

The application must list the subjects in which you plan to take exams. For current year graduates, exams in Russian language and mathematics (at any of the two levels) are mandatory, the rest can be chosen independently (most often depending on the profile of the university).

A passport will be needed not only when submitting an application, but also for admission to the exam itself - the data will be checked against the list of participants, which is printed from the regional information system.

Regardless of when you take the exam, the application deadline is the same. This year, early Unified State Exams began on March 23 and will end on April 14. Applications had to be submitted before February 1, 2017 inclusive. After this date, only applications from those with valid reasons, such as illness, were considered. Applications close two weeks before the start of exams.

The Unified State Exam is available to everyone

People with disabilities can take part in the exam, including early. To create special conditions when taking the Unified State Exam, you must provide a copy of the recommendation of the psychological, medical and pedagogical commission.

The early stage of passing the Unified State Exam is coming to an end, so we have collected tips from those who have already passed the exam for those who are yet to do so. The guys share their personal experiences and tell what happened in the classroom, why they took the exam early, and what those who will take the Unified State Exam in the summer should pay attention to. The first subject is mathematics – specialized and basic.

Galina Sysoeva

I took basic mathematics early because on May 22 I am flying to Croatia for the World Dance Championships as part of the Russian national team. During the test, I was the only one in the room; the rest of the guys were taking specialized mathematics in another room.

My set of documents was printed right in front of me and very quickly, after which the observers helped me fill out the registration form.

The tasks in the KIM were the same as in all the collections we used to prepare for. In my opinion, everything is simple.

I advise graduates not to worry during the exam and solve all the tasks in a row in the remaining time - then there will be no surprises for you in the exam.

Nikita Dobrovolsky

I’m retaking the Unified State Exam in specialized mathematics this year, so I’m doing it ahead of schedule. I can say that I came across an easy option.

I'm not sure that I completed all the tasks correctly, but some of them were much easier than those that I was used to during preparation.

I didn’t really like that it wasn’t written how to fill out Part C correctly, so it took me seven sheets, while the others took a maximum of three.

Yana Veteranan

I took the exam in specialized mathematics ahead of schedule because last year I made a mistake during the main period. I missed the first task, forgot it and wrote down all the answers in the wrong order.

This year I didn't like how everything was organized. Now CMMs are printed right in the classroom. While the teachers were typing them, they ran out of paper and had to do it all over again. Some students were nervous, others were laughing and joking.

The first part was very simple - there were no problems that we did not solve. But the second part seemed difficult. The tasks are the same as in the collections, but much more calculations need to be done. If I solved the first part in an hour, then I spent the rest of the allotted time on solving the second part - although, in theory, this is what should be done. There was a guy sitting behind me, he even cursed several times because of the second part. Six out of 14 people left an hour later - I don’t know what they managed to decide there.

Alexey Ryabovsky

I had already taken the Unified State Exam in specialized mathematics, but I entered the wrong university where I wanted. I decided to re-enroll.

The atmosphere in the classroom was calm, the tasks were no easier than at the main stage, and even more difficult than last year. Graduates, remember that you are running out of time - this is the main difficulty you will face in the exam.

I didn’t even use drafts based on the experience of the previous year, knowing that there would be no time to rewrite. I wrote all the allotted hours without being distracted. I didn't have time to do the second part of task 16. If I had had at least half an hour more, I would have decided until the end.

The most important advice is to decide. If you know how to solve this or that task, you won’t even have to think; when you see the tasks, you’ll start writing right away and save time.

If you are applying for a high score, then you will not have a chance to sit and think.

The early stage of the Unified State Exam has begun. According to Rosobrnadzor, more than 40 thousand people are registered with it. During the main period, according to preliminary data, more than 720 thousand people will take part in the exams, of which 638 thousand are graduates of the current year.

Last year, 44 thousand people signed up for the early period.

Most of those who will come to the early stage are graduates of previous years. Eleventh-graders are allowed to take the Unified State Exam ahead of time if, for good reasons, they cannot get into the main wave.

Anyone who goes to take the Unified State Exam early must have mastered the entire school curriculum by this time and passed certification in all subjects. Typically, the early stage involves athletes, graduates who are leaving for international Olympiads, or students who will be undergoing treatment during the main stage.

Our task is to maintain the achieved high level of conducting the Unified State Examination, and I ask the ministers to personally supervise the early stage: to monitor the conduct of all exams in very detail and carefully,” the head of Rosobrnadzor, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Sergei Kravtsov addressed the regional ministers.

If you didn’t pass the exams on the reserve days, then you can retake Russian language and mathematics in September

Particular attention should be paid to scanning forms, video surveillance during the exam, and creating conditions for graduates with disabilities.

Those who came to the early stage will not be allowed to retake the Unified State Exam in the main wave. This can only be done next year. But mandatory exams - Russian language and mathematics - can be retaken on reserve days if the student does not achieve the minimum score.

“If it is not possible to pass the exams on the reserve days, then the compulsory Russian language and basic-level mathematics can be retaken in September,” Rosobrnadzor recalled. As a rule, the most popular elective subjects on the Unified State Exam are social studies, chosen by more than 50 percent, history (about 20 percent), biology (18 percent), physics, and foreign languages.

What's new at the Unified State Exam 2018?

Russian language: the examination paper includes a basic level task that tests knowledge of the lexical norms of the modern Russian literary language. The maximum initial score for completing all work has been increased from 57 to 58.

Social studies: the assessment system for task 28 has been revised. The wording of task 29 has been clarified and the system for its assessment has been changed. The maximum initial score for completing all work has been increased from 62 to 64.

The fourth topic of the essay has been introduced. The criteria for assessing the completion of tasks with a detailed answer (8, 9, 15, 16, 17) have been completely redesigned. The maximum score for the entire work has been increased from 42 to 57 points.
